NFL 2021-22

The Bills get screwed yet again by the NFL. What would already have been the coldest game of the weekend gets moved to 8:20pm...even colder. Not much wind to speak of but it don't take much when the temp. is around 0. I've been to a few of these kind of games. Wish I still lived close enough to attend. Big debate amongst Bills Mafia members on whether the new stadium should be domed or not. Anyway, Bills by 10+.

New England always seems to get that time slot, Saturday at 8:20. I’d expect Buffalo knows how to play in those conditions. NE does as well but they have a rookie QB and have not looked good lately. I expect a Bills win but a NE victory wouldn’t be a major upset.

I just hope it’s a good game and Jones plays solid. I had no expectations for this season outside it had to be better without Cam….

I'll stick with my pick from earlier and call this a New England win, but wow man Josh Allen has been on a tear the last few weeks. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him mop the turf with the Patriots defense.

the wind and cold late in the year is big for you.

I've always said this. The argument being we'll never host a SB without a dome. Personally, I'd like to see a multi-purpose facility with a retractable roof near the downtown waterfront area but that's not going to happen. Too expensive.

I agree. New England has always been odd on defense. They tend to be rated very good but always seem to allow plays to happen especially with tight ends open in the middle of the field. It's like they look great or like garbage, lol.

Yeah, yeah I get all that. I'm just saying, I think Pittsburgh can win. Not because this is a whacky NFL season and the 'any given Sunday' mumbo jumbo.
Pittsburgh has been playing football for almost a month now. I feel like they can do it.

Najee is a handfull and the Steelers getting a quality run game going will be crucial. That KC pass rush is legit. The Steelers o-line has been porous all year. They need to figure it out or this will get out of hand quickly.

Sorry bud However!! This is in your favor. *I'm* saying the Chiefs are likely a shoe in. That's a net positive for the Steelers!

Cowboys / 49ers ... ugggg... Bite me / Suck it Trebek. It's as near a pick 'em as makes no difference. If I had to guess I'd say it's a 3 point win. Zeke has been poop all year ( ask me I know ... he was my fantasy RB1 ) If he can give a past performance - performance, I think the Cowboys edge the Niners. The 49ers win if Kittle and Deebo get some traction in the middle of the field.

Bucs / Iggles - JPP coming back along with David and Barrett means the Bucs NFL best run stop unit is going to be on the field. Running is the Iggles bread and butter with a splash of Goedert. I'm pulling for the Iggles personally, but I think they will need a gargantuan pass rush to stay even. Brady is amazing, but he can have trouble when he hits the ground too many times. Evans and Gronk are his weapons down field. That might be all he needs as the Philly LB group is sub par. Fournette coming back will help, but who knows how healthy he really is.

I think the Bucs win by 10.

Cards/Rams - Fuller being out and Stafford nursing a bad back ( he has been a INT machine the last 4 games with a tad more than 2 per game average! ) Cooper is super but he can't throw it to himself.

I think the Cards grind out a win. It probably wont be pretty but I think that's the way it plays out.

Cards control the game but the Rams make it close in the end with some hero ball.

I'll be rooting against Dallas as always. That said, I'll take Dak over Jimmy all day, so I'd give the Cowboys the edge, too.

I still think he's a guy who racks up big numbers most of the time but can't get his team over the hump when it's pressure time. To underscore that point: The Rams went 2-5 this season vs. playoff teams. The Cards will still be without Hopkins, which really hurts. But I think they'll win a close one.

I'll be rooting for the Eagles and Hurts is a good guy, but I don't see any way they keep up with the Bucs.

Chiefs: I'll take Mahomes in an off year with a questionable D over an out-of-gas Ben.

Raiders/Cincy: Burrow should be ready to win a playoff game and end the Bengals' drought. Also...

So, my first time using NFL Red Zone. Had it all season. I don't think I can watch the NFL any other way now. Besides, it's just about the only way I get to see the Titans play here in Sacramento.

I really like Derek Carr. He's a good guy with a huge heart. I think the Raiders magic has been spent. They have been in a ton of close and OT games. They've gutted out some beauties. Unfortunately for them, Cincy is no paper tiger and they just seem hungrier to me. It will be interesting to see if the Bengals offense will work in adverse conditions. Mixon is a good back, but they are an average run team. Bad weather, I think, will present problems for this squad. Burrow is a beast against the blitz, but the Raiders don't rely on blitzing, they have a nasty d-line that provides pressure. The war in the trenches is going to be all about imposing their will. I also think that people (ahem, the Bengals coach) thinking their game against the Broncos was sending a message... c'mon man. It was Drew Lock and a team that is a year away from a total rebuild. Let's slow your roll there Sparky.

Still I think the Bengals prevail. Hmmm, by a touch down.

How do the Bill's lose their game? By forgetting the Pats have always been a run team. Harris and Stevenson are a nasty combo.

Mac, being a rook, might get stage fright, but having two good backs to hand off to will certainly ease some of that nervousness. I think the Belly tricks will be on display in this game. Bill is always prepared. I do think the Bill's win, and they do it with Singletary ( with a good mix of ground and passing yards ) as well as Sanders and Davis. I think Bill game plans Diggs into a low output game. Dawson is in for tough sledding as the Pats are very good against TE's this year. Still, the Bill's defense is elite against the pass, and not too shabby against the run. If they can keep their emotions in check and not get penalized out of Buffalo, they will secure the win.

The AFC does look like a crapshoot. However, a rookie quarterback has never started in the Super Bowl, and I don’t think Mac Jones is going to buck that trend.

Quoting myself from mid-November when the hype was at a fever pitch. As I said before, I think Mac's going to be a good one. But aside from the occasional instant phenom, it takes time.
