Wow! I just got the news that the Seattle trade to Denver is in process. Russell Wilson will be in orange & blue! It just hit the airwaves in Denver.
Denver is in a tizzy, as you might expect. The Broncos just became one of the most interesting teams in the NFL this season!
I don't think that's intimidating to Russ. The Denver D is pretty good, and hopefully will continue to be. They are trading Shelby Harris as part of the deal, and he's probably their top defensive end.

I don't think Seattle is done making moves either. John Schneider is too smart a guy to leave this team without a NFL quality QB, of which this Drew Lock guy should not be counted as.
@Pilgrim I don't think Wilson will find the challenge intimidating, but it's a more difficult path to a division title, and then playoffs.
It's like when I joked about Riley heading to USC to get out of the SEC where a path to the college football playoffs would be far more difficult than it will be coming out of the Pac-10.
Russell Wilson is a great QB, but his job is harder now in Denver.
Crazy thing about this is Denver makes arguably the biggest trade in NFL history for a hall of famer player and now what are they, the third best team in the AFC West instead of fourth? Haha.

I think the Rams might be facing a bit of an exodus. Von already has said he'd like to head back to Denver. Is Donald coming back? I know talks are ongoing for resigning him. McVay even has question marks as to his future with the team. I wonder what they will look like on day 1 of the regular season.
I agree about Seattle not being done. And I'm a Seahawks fan, so I'm hoping they make some good moves!
But in all fairness, this makes Denver the team that has picked up TWO hall of fame QBs....Manning and Wilson...under two GMs. Granting KC the #1 spot in the AFC west, I think #2 is up for grabs. The Chargers have to prove themselves and the Raiders are in the "unknown" column with coaching change. I'll be very surprised if Denver isn't competing for at least a wild card playoff spot.
