I'm not taking anything away from Cincy being a good team.
More ragging on the Bills for not showing up and at least making it a competition.
It wasn't a hard fought game, decided by a FG in the last minute.
Burrow is a great QB and his receivers are great. But when your receivers are that open and your QB has no pressure, it's a little easier to be good.
Cincy probably would've still won, but c'mon, the Bills could've made them sweat and work a little harder for it.
My best guess of what went wrong is that the last 2 seasons have just worn Allen out and when he finally ran out of gas for this game, we all saw all the holes in this team and how he's carried them on his back.

His perpetual 8 year old personality has allowed him to live off endorsement money and use 100% of his salary for building actual wealth, as opposed to just being rich. I think a good friend would tell him to keep it up, and maybe ask for financial planning advice.

Yes but a true friend would tell him to turn it down a notch or two. The show already has Terry Bradshaw in the role of Crazy Football Guy.

And I write this as a fan of Rob Gronkowski.

Gronk...he's only 33 but I actually thought he was closer to 40...seems like he's been around forever. Either way, to me he's always been the obnoxious loudmouth Frat Guy that never grew out of that stage of his life, and likely never will. That's just his persona. I can take him or leave him, doesn't annoy me as much as he used to. But yeah, small doses of him are best.

In all fairness Buffalo had a lot of injuries on their defense, including the 2 guys that had to leave mid game after colliding with each other. The bengals have a killer offense, and being down a few guys isn't going to help that on buffalo's end.

Any thoughts on Diggs acting out against Allen on the sidelines? I can understand being frustrated. But Diggs says, "I want to WIN!!" Does he honestly think that Allen and the rest of the team didn't want to win as much as he did? They got whupped. No doubt about it. It happens. Personally, I thought it was pretty tacky to belittle your QB publicly like that. Save it for the locker room. But think about it first. You're not the only one who wanted to win...

I never saw that until they showed it after the game. Once the second half started, I knew there was no chance of a come back, so I started doing stuff around the house, letting the dogs out, etc and stopped watching, so I missed a bunch.
I don't know what he was saying, I assumed from the body language that it was the usual complaining that he's always open, but not getting the ball. But I don't think he was ever "open" the whole game, so who knows.

I've been saying it all year: our linebackers and secondary make great plays half the time and are non existent the other half. Our D line is a monster some games and a non factor others. Our O line is a little above average most games and below average others. The running game barely exists and they have great receivers that are good for a big play every few games, but also can't get open or catch the ball half the time.
There's no consistency. No beast mode running back, no beast D line getting 4-5-6 sacks p/game, no monster O line like Philly, etc.
They rely on Allen to run around out of the pocket or to simply run the ball every other play when the team is having one of their mediocre days. If it weren't for him playing like he has the last 2 yrs, they wouldn't have won half the games they did.
Another thing that stinks about the NFL these days is the revolving door of coaches. Every time a good team gets put together and makes a run, it's a "built to win now" mentality and if you don't win a SB within a few yrs, all your coordinators are leaving for head coaching jobs and half your best players are leaving for more money or a chance to win a SB with a team that looks like they have a better shot.
I think the bills best shot was last year, with Daboll and the roster they had.
No telling which direction it will go because I'm more than sure we will be looking to replace some players and coaches that will leave.
And it's a matter of time before Allen gets seriously hurt and misses a season. And the other teams in the division are only getting better, so the Bills may have missed their window here.

I'm a Falcons fan so it's easy for me to follow postseason football objectively since we never have a horse in the race.

So Bills fans, walk with me for a sec.
The Atlanta Falcons put more points on the Bengals on the road with Marcus Mariota than the Bills did at home with Josh Allen and the overwhelming motivation of having Hamlin in attendance.
Why? Because the Bills did not get the ball to their best player. It was a poorly coached and poorly called and poorly executed game. Bills had every advantage including the weather. They phoned it in.
That's football. Get it next year.

I'm the only one who made comments that could be interpreted that way, but as I've explained, that's not remotely my sentiment.
Cincy is a good team and good enough to beat Buffalo, even if buffalo played well. I actually expected the Bills to play a good game and thought it would be a battle, and still thought Cincy might win anyway.
What I said is that Cincy didn't have to. The Bills made it too easy. That's a shot at the Bills, not Cincy.
Instead of Cincy beating them 34-31 and both sides were exhausted and bloody at the end, Cincy beat them 27-10 and after the game, Burrow looked like he never broke a sweat and could've played another game.

As much as I agree with you about the Buffalo comments--I'm waiting for the "practice squad" meme used against Miami at this point:D--you're gonna have to expect some discounting if the Bengals beat KC. Mahomes has a high ankle sprain, it's not even clear he'll be able to play. He definitely won't be able to play like he usually does.

I loved football as a kid and was a die hard fan during the Kelly era. But I didn't watch or follow any football for the better part of the last 30 yrs, other than watching a few SBs along the way.
Now that the Bills have a good team again, I've been watching every Sunday because my wife is a big fan (she doesn't care for sports in general, but she knows enough about the game to flow it and she used to work for the Bills back in the late 90s) and she does the whole Bills lawn ornaments, wears bills gear on Sunday, yells and claps at the TV, etc. She actually gets mad at me because I sit there and pick on the play calling, analyze why they're not SB material, make comments about how Allen will be crippled at age 30 and generally don't show any emotion.
Point is, I'm watching the games again, but very objectively and not as a biased fan.
I mean, I'd like to see them do well, but I don't live and die by it.
