NFL 2022-2023

Both are good stories. Hurts because he's such a beast, plus he's playing through an injury that ought to stop him, but doesn't. Purdy because he's Mr. Irrelevant and rising to the occasion anyway. I'll be rooting for the Niners, but mostly because they are a west coast team. No other reason.
I'm actually torn. I feel kind of morally obligated to root for the former OU player. But Purdy having been the starter just last season for a not very good Iowa State team and now having a chance at Super Bowl as a rookie is intriguing.

The betting line on Bengals/Chiefs has swung by about 6 points based on updates on Mahomes' injury status. Still hard to know how he'll actually be on Sunday, teams and players always put out optimistic statements.

I wouldn't bet against Mahomes. The Bengals have had the Chiefs' number lately, so there's that. Good thing I don't bet on anything.

They also put out pessimistic statements to keep the other team guessing. I expect Mahomes to start and see how long he can go.

It was game of the season last year season and May well be again this season

Winner will be be a hot favorite for me to take Super Bowl

Clearly I'm on Bengals beating 49'ers for long standing revenge motivation

That's why I don't like Cincy. Good and bad they always talk trash like that and just generally seem to lack some common skills like decency and sportsmanship. Yeah, I know, its not every player, but these are the ones loud enough to make headlines and ruin my perception of the franchise.
Hilton is a refugee from Pittsburgh. He's OK I guess, but he's better off being quiet since he wasn't good enough to keep his job in Pittsburgh, meaning they didn't value him enough to make a serious effort to keep him when free agency came up. That's saying something since Pittsburgh hasn't had a decent CB since Ike Taylor left, and he was sort of OK.

I don't either. With the nonsense going on in SF right now, I won't even bother watching either game.
I'm sure we'll accept an invitation to someone's Super Bowl party, but I'll be going for the food and association and won't give two cares who's playing.

I don't know what is going on in SF. Ignorance might be bliss.
