NFL Off Season

Been some talk of TO going to the Redskins. I was dismayed at first, and while The Danny would love TO, I never thought Joe Gibbs would. But the Skins had some eccentric prima donnas the first time Gibbs coached 'em: Riggo and Dexter Manley, to name just two.
So I have to confess that I'm intrigued: the Skins don't have many holes to fill, and WR is probably the biggest. If we get TO, he'll be happy for that first season, at least.... and that first season might just be a Super Bowl season.

Nope, I rip him hard because I have had personal direct interaction with him being a complete nimrod of a human being.

I just don't see TO fitting in with Washington. The QB situation is shaky, they already have a big star on offense in Portis, and one on defense in Arrington. It's looking more and more like Denver to me.

While not a pampered pro athlete, I used to see Tom Selleck quite often when he was taping Magnum P.I. out here. There's a private club right on Waikiki Beach, close by Diamond Head. Mr. Selleck liked to hang out at this club, particularly to play beach volleyball. During those days, I was living with my doctor friend and his family, and they were/are memebers of this club. The doc and I would go down there for a swim and a few beers after working in the yard most of the day, usually on a late Sunday afternoon, and Mr. Selleck would be there, playing v-ball, or swimming in the ocean. No one ever hassled him for autographs, or whatever... On several occasions, he sat either next to us, or at our table, and enjoyed a beer, or two... or three... after he showered-up and changed clothes. We carried on conversations as if we were all good 'ol buddies. A helluva nice guy that Tom Selleck!
Now... for a nimrod: Chris Berman of ESPN! I won't go there, but I had a rather disheartening run-in with him during Pro Bowl week two years ago. He was a jerk...

But here's the deal: TO would prevent teams from concentrating on Moss and Cooley. So, the Skins wouldn't necessarily need the long bomb... they could mix medium range passes with Clinton Portis. Nothing's better at demoralizing a defense than methodical time-consuming drives.Reality check: while I can imagine the possibilities with TO, I would much prefer not to have him on my team. Denver can have that ticking time bomb.
ESPN has been flashing a headline lately that the Seahawks may be interested in Warrick Dunn. I haven't read the article since it's part of the ESPN Insider package that you have to pay for.
Anyone have further info on this?

certainly mitigating, knowing that dunn will likely be a plan b if alexander bails.
i liked dunn way back in middle school, when dungy started to turn the bucs around. i guess i won't hold his alma mater against him.

Thanks for the link Brad. I thought the Insider was something you have to pay for. It was another time I clicked on it.
Dunn is a good player. I don't think he is the kind of back that would prosper in the Seattle offense though. Maybe I'm wrong. If he comes to Seattle, and does well, I can forget about that slimy school he went to.

I just started reading some info about the upcoming UF football season. I don't know alot about him yet, so I can't really say. Leak was so up and down this year. Have you seen Tebow throw?

Ironically, I heard the EXACT story about Favre when we were down in Miss, just a few miles from Kiln. After Brett and his buddies demanded the place was cleared, he ended up urinating in the corner of the bar and getting the bunch all kicked out. To his defense, that was back in his college party days.
Oh, and to Gard's delight, we ran into Joe Horn in a Baton Rouge casino a few weeks ago. He was very friendly and accomdating to everyone that recognized them. Wish I would have had my cell phone with me to have him sign!

No, we didn't spend much time there since the retailer we went there to work for was full of beans, putting it nicely. Ended up on the MS coastline for the rest of the duration.
