Tell you what, I'll trade you some MSU gear for some Zag gear. Think about it, when MSU athletics shapes up (when Hell freezes) you can claim that you always were a fan.

I still think Shaun would be fool to leave Seattle if they make him an offer that's close to what he might get from other teams - Seattle's offensive line could pave his way toward immortality. I wouldn't say the same about Carolina's unit, and worse yet, the other teams rumored to be looking at Alexander are pretty sorry.

The transition and franchise tags have been placed, with a few notables left out in the cold. I was surprised to see Plummer from the 49ers left untagged. He won't sit out there long.
Cool for Indy to hook up Reggie Wayne, sad for Edge to have to hit the road. I don't think Indy will realize how good Edge is until he is gone. When Edge is on, the Indy offense is killer. Just look at the Pittsburgh game, he was not 100%, and that took away a big part of the offense for Manning.

I agree with you about the situation in Indy. That offensive line isn't quite physically dominating enough to stick an average back behind and expect results - they're going to have to find someone very good if they expect to continue their amazing offensive success. Or, hey, maybe they have someone in the organization, I don't know.

i have a hard time respecting atheletes who make that kind of money when there are people who work on hospitals saving lives every day, and most will never even accumulate a million dollars...

I'm not happy to see someone lose a job, but Maddox was just awful last year. Sad to see Willie leave though. Wasn't it awesome how Seattle signed him as a free agent in '96, cut him in '04, he re-signs with Pittsburgh the next season and goes and beats the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl!

That Alexander contract seems like a lot of cash, but I'm sure the deal is back-loaded and all that jazz. The reality is that there's no way he'll see all of that money - that's just how the NFL works.
I'm pretty happy with the Maddox move - Charlie Batch is more than capable and Maddox was pretty horrendous last season. I hope he gets a fresh start elsewhere, if he doesn't just decide to hang 'em up.
