NFL Offseason 2013

I know...I just couldn't resist the urge to be all snarky and self-righteous. Feels like that's the way I'm supposed to act on the internet :D

Actually I apologize for that; it was unnecessary.
Yeah, that took me by surprise coming from you.:D No worries, you're still alright in my book.

In addition to Aaron Hernandez, you have this other guy the Browns cut who was charged with attempted murder for punching a guy in the head. The victim is in a medically induced coma in a hospital right now.

-Mike

I'd say the Patriots will be looking for a tight end. Joking aside, Tebow is kind of a hands-of-stone type as a receiver.

I think the guy could be a running back, but I don't see any other role for him in the pros.

Maybe a half back, or something on special teams?

Maybe a year or three out of the limelight to practice up under a master might scrape a decent QB out of him, apparently he was throwing really well at the combine, but once pressure was on, he went back to a worse style of throw he was trying to work away from.

Plenty of fans dislike the Patriots organization, but the recent Aaron Hernandez jersey exchange (which is estimated to cost the team $250K), and absorbing the $7,500,000 salary cap hit by releasing him when they did, certainly indicates the level of class at least Robert Kraft operates at.

He got even more points with me by saying the would recycle the returned jerseys. I'm a recycler too. Go green! :D

-Mike

Dropping him and eating the costs was when they still believed he was going to be charged with Obstruction. According to them, the murder charges were a bolt from the blue to them.

I think the first plan is to try and remove his name and number from the shirts, and donate them to charity, recycling if that's not possible.

The quoted comments from Kraft below confirm part of what you said....

"Following Aaron's arrest, I read a number of different accounts of how things transpired in our organization. Let me be clear: We decided the week prior to Aaron's arrest that if Aaron was arrested in connection with the Lloyd murder case that we would cut him immediately after," he said.

"The rationale behind that decision was that if any member of the New England Patriots organization is close enough to a murder investigation to actually get arrested -- whether it be for obstruction of justice or the crime itself, it is too close to an unthinkable act for that person to be part of this organization going forward."

Might as well had signs saying "Please investigate us, we don't have enough police trouble."

I'll give you a guess who was with Hernandez in that 2007 bar fight, heck.... I'll give you a pair.

unbelievable :rollno:

I feel bad for Sanchez. He showed promise, and I had high hopes for the first Mexican-American quarterback.

I blame the jets as much, if not more than, Sanchez for his under performance.

I hope he finds a new team and flourishes.

I feel the same way about Sanchito...however you're forgetting about Jim Plunkett
