NFL Offseason 2013

I feel bad for Sanchez. He showed promise, and I had high hopes for the first Mexican-American quarterback.

I blame the jets as much, if not more than, Sanchez for his under performance.

I hope he finds a new team and flourishes.

Yeah but no matter what the Jets did, Sanchez has had the lowest QBR of any QB for the first 5 years of his career ever and worst of any starting QB over the last 5 full years of the NFL. You can't buy that kind of bad. Well, ok the Jets did.

Yay for Nike and a geography FAIL!

Additionally, NC is a rather wide state, east-west, and wouldn't fit on a standard-issue T-shirt as well as SC did. It was just easier this way.

They could just move the Panthers to Colorado or Wyoming and not have to worry about that detail - nobody would know which was which anyway.

The Tampa Bay kicker just threw his season away, and maybe his career. Hurt himself at a charity b-ball game. I think he just signed a really big contract extension, too. Buh-bye!

Doesn't this happen to one guy in each major sport every year? You'd think they'd learn.

Ain't like I was watching NFL games back then lol

...but I was watching some kind of Raiders special a few years back and they were saying Plunkett and Tom Flores (Oh! Actually the first hispanic pro QB after all) would probably be in the HOF if they were't hispanic

Sucks for him and the team but they can't run around in bubble wrap all offseason. At least he wasn't out doing wheelies on his chopper a la Rapeistburger.

Or celebrating after a kick:

The best (worst) part about that one is that he was celebrating a kick in the first quarter of a game. It wasn't a game-winner.

I realize those guys can't wrap themselves up in bubbles all off-season, but don't most of them have contracts that specifically prohibit stuff like this? (Not the 'getting hurt' part, the 'doing things that might result in a higher probability of getting hurt' part.)
