Well, it's hard not to confuse those pesky North and South states. I guess it's hard to hire a proof-reader or run your design idea past a few others as well...
Additionally, NC is a rather wide state, east-west, and wouldn't fit on a standard-issue T-shirt as well as SC did. It was just easier this way.
They could just move the Panthers to Colorado or Wyoming and not have to worry about that detail - nobody would know which was which anyway.

The Tampa Bay kicker just threw his season away, and maybe his career. Hurt himself at a charity b-ball game. I think he just signed a really big contract extension, too. Buh-bye!

...but I was watching some kind of Raiders special a few years back and they were saying Plunkett and Tom Flores (Oh! Actually the first hispanic pro QB after all) would probably be in the HOF if they were't hispanic

Sucks for him and the team but they can't run around in bubble wrap all offseason. At least he wasn't out doing wheelies on his chopper a la Rapeistburger.
Shame for him yeah, but could just as easily have happened running up for a kick pre season, or anywhere in his day to day life, sometimes crap things just happen.
The best (worst) part about that one is that he was celebrating a kick in the first quarter of a game. It wasn't a game-winner.
I realize those guys can't wrap themselves up in bubbles all off-season, but don't most of them have contracts that specifically prohibit stuff like this? (Not the 'getting hurt' part, the 'doing things that might result in a higher probability of getting hurt' part.)
