Woo Hoo!

Training camp started for many teams, which means that the golden season is approaching. The dearth of football news and events are nearing an end, and we finally have real stuff to read, listen and talk about.

I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!!

Chiefs are decent, but with big ole Willie Roaf retiring our offensive line is gonna suffer. we sucked without him when he was injured last year. but we've picked up some good defensive backs, maybe we wont' have to score so much to win. but with no receivers and our offensive line crippled it's gonna be tough for larry johnson to get much if the defensives can focus in on him.

Yes,with Roaf and Welbourn retiring,Trent Green will be running for his life.At his age that's not a good thing.
Of course this will also make it harder for Larry Johnson to gain yardage,but he's such a stud that I still think he'll put up some pretty good numbers.
As a Raiders fanatic,I almost cut a backflip when I heard that both of those guys retired.We have the NFL's sack leader from last season(Derrick Burgess)coming back strong,and we added Lance Johnstone(free agent DE from the Vikings)who has averaged 8 sacks a year since he's been in the league.
Now I'm hearing alot out of the Raiders training camp that this undrafted rookie free agent that we signed(DE-Kevin Huntley) is also showing alot of talent,along with our other starter opposite Burgess,Tyler Brayton.
Trent Green's ganna have alot of grass stains on his uni when the Cheifs play the Raiders.:D

Big Ben looks good from what I have seen so far. I only wonder how many games Duce will play before he comes down with another weak injury that will sideline him for eight weeks. I wish he could have learned more from Bettis.

I hope so! However, I don't think he is anywhere near as good as Edge. :( Come on Addai, prove me wrong!

On a side note, I will get to see the Edge play in person for once. I'm going to the Dec. 17 Cardinals vs. Denver game in the brand new stadium. The wife is a Broncos fan unfortunately. :rolleyes:

Hehehe, nice.

I hope 9ers won’t be as bad as they were last season, don't expect them to be great again but hopefully back to being decent. :) We got few good rookies so it will take some time but we'll be back.

I never thought I would say this but, the Cardinals are going to sweep the 49'ers again this year.

Who would have ever thought the Cards would have a real offense and their D is getting better as well. Go figure.

He had power and finesse at LSU. I think he can make the NFL transition.

Coach said it best, "When Edge came he was trying to fill Hershel Walker's shoes and nobody thought he could and he did. Someone out of our three main RB will do the same." Loosely re-written from a radio broadcast with Mike and Mike in the Morning.

I have a bet going with a buddy that Indy will sweep Jacksonville and clinch the division yet again. That was easy money right there.

With Duce's constant injuries, I'm kinda worried about the Pittsburgh running game this year. Willie Parker has great speed and is a big play threat, but he doesn't seem especially good at consistently gaining chunks of yardage. Maybe Haynes can step into the role of the power back this year.

What do you think of the whole Santonio Holmes thing, Mike? I was pretty disappointed with his press conference a couple of days ago, but I saw an interview with him yesterday that was more promising. I hope he gets his head straight, and in a hurry.

Lets see, The Pistons had the best record in the NBA, The Red Wings had the best record in the NHL, the Tigers now have the best record in MLB and the Lions will have the ...............................................NAH!!!:crying:
