They do practice there.

Im hoping that my boyz here in Tampa pick up at least one offensive and defensive linemen. I have not been overly impressed with the D we've had the past couple of seasons. I am glad to see Chris Simms get a shot as being the starter. He doesnt exactly suck, but he's no Peyton Manning either. Im hoping that by him being the starter he will gain the experience he needs to get them to the big one again.

Of course this will also make it harder for Larry Johnson to gain yardage,but he's such a stud that I still think he'll put up some pretty good numbers.
As a Raiders fanatic,I almost cut a backflip when I heard that both of those guys retired.We have the NFL's sack leader from last season(Derrick Burgess)coming back strong,and we added Lance Johnstone(free agent DE from the Vikings)who has averaged 8 sacks a year since he's been in the league.
Now I'm hearing alot out of the Raiders training camp that this undrafted rookie free agent that we signed(DE-Kevin Huntley) is also showing alot of talent,along with our other starter opposite Burgess,Tyler Brayton.
Trent Green's ganna have alot of grass stains on his uni when the Cheifs play the Raiders.:D

you're pretty much right on all fronts, Burgess had 16 sacks he's a bad ass. we'll have to throw jason dunn over there for an extra blocker or maybe tony gonzalez. but at least we got a few corners to cover your receivers now Ty law and Patrick Surtain, and our 2nd round pick Bernard Pollard is a safety that's supposedly looking good in training camp. so i'm just hoping the D can make a couple stops and we won't have to score so much this year. We have the notoriously conservative Herm Edwards coaching, and a new offensive coordinator that scares me a bit. and no priest holmes more than likely. shoot we might suck, i'm defintely not one of those homers that thinks super bowl every year. 9-7 if the chiefs are lucky. but honestly i'm more scared of the Broncos than Raiders, is porter gonna play? he was demanding a trade last i heard. and who's your quarterback?

Yeah,as much as I hate to admit it,Mike Shannarat has the Donkeys playing some good football.I absolutely HATE the Broncos.
Porter will play,but probably not as much as he'd like.If you remember,Art Shell was our coach when Marcus Allen was benched for being a locker room cancer(the year before he left to play for the Cheifs).......of course that was easy to do,b/c we also had Bo Jackson then.
I'm not worried about Porter being benched.His numbers are okay,but he ain't the receiver he thinks he is.We've got this guy named Doug Gabriel that would have put up the same #s Porter has,had the dude seen the field as much.
Then we have Ronald Curry,who is as athletic as any receiver in the league,but he's torn one of his achielles(sp?) tendons the last two seasons in a row.If he comes back healthy enough to play,our receiving corps will still be strong.........keep an eye out for a kid named Johnny Morant as well this year,if Porter rides the pine.
As much as I'd like to see it happen,Porter won't get the trade he's looking for this season.It'd hurt our salary cap too bad for the next two seasons if we were to do so.I'm afraid his whiny little ass is ganna be around this year.
As of right now,it looks to me like Aaron Brooks is ganna be our starting QB,but Coach Shell said that nothing was set in stone until after pre-season............and btw,we're not ganna use Brooks the way the Saints did.They told him that if he feels the need to take off running for the yard markers,then to go for it.They're not ganna keep him tied down to a specific way to play.
I'm hoping that Andrew Walter,who we drafted two years ago out of Arizona State gets the start.That kid is impressive as hell for his age.
If ya wanna compare the two,they'll both be playing this Sunday at the Hall of Fame game.If I'm not mistaken,it's ganna be aired nationally on NBC....8pm eastern/7pm central.

You're right about your secondary being vastly improved with Surtain,and Law at the corner spots.Those guys are two of the best in the game.
I'm an NFL draft junkie as well,so I do alot of research on the players that enter it every year,and that Bernard Pollard kid is a sledge-hammer of a hitter.
It's been said that he's almost knocked himself and the receiver out a few times,when he played for Purdue.His coverage skills are supposed to be his weak point,but his hitting has been compared to Ronnie Lott.

I as well naturally have a good bit of hatred built up for the Broncos. Last year when porter was a free agent i was hoping the Chiefs would have got him, but the way you make him sound maybe we're better off without him. well Brooks can't do much worse than Kerry Collins did. I actually thought he was gonna be alright there, he was decent in Giants superbowl year. and Pollard i guess is pretty fast, some sports talk guys here were thinking he could take sammy knights spot

Well, Im originally from NY. I used to live in Uniondale for a few years and would walk to Hofstra and watch the Jets practice when I was a kid. So I find myself rooting for the Jets. Ive lived in Florida, the Tampa area, most of my life and took a liking to the Bucs many many years ago. When the 2 clash on the field I do find myself pulling a bit harder for the Bucs, but even if they lose Im not totally disapointed in it. Hope that makes some sense.

I'm an Indy fan first and foremost.

However, I am also an Edgerrin James fan. Now that he is with the Cardinals I guess I will be rooting for them. Heck, my Colts have been pretty good for some years now. I need another team that everybody says sucks to root for and no, I won't support the Lion, Bears, or Viqueens! :p Go Cardinals!, unless they meet up with the Colts!

Ya know, I think the Cards are in a good situation... apparently, in the past, they've had a culture in the lockerroom that's expected less of them (when FAs come to town or highly touted draft picks end up there). But I think of someone like Edge as a leader type, someone who makes an attitude for a team... If Leinart turns out to be all that he's cracked up to be (and if he ever signs) and if they can concentrate on their o-line and d-line in the next draft and FA period, things could turn around for the franchise. That's your hard luck team right there...

I grew up a Steelers fan, and they are number one for me. Now that I live near Seattle, I have taken a liking to the Seahawks. It is even easier now that they are in the NFC. I have no problems cheering for the Seahawks to win. I also follow several of the former Penn State players, and cheer for them to do well.

I'm originally from N.C.,and used to get asked all the time why I'm not a Panthers fan............Now that I live in Tennessee I get the Titans loyalty question here as well.
I tell 'em that I've been a Raiders fan since I was six,and can't see myself rooting for another team........We're down right now,but we'll be back soon.

Sherman's role in Houston will be fairly minimal from what I understand, with Kubiak being in charge and all.

You see when I came to bay area and started to like the sport and I had 2 teams to choose from. I didn't want to look like someone who just likes a team because they are good (and 9ers were good back then) so I picked raiders even though I was leaning towards 9ers (I was young and dumb). Then I went to the game and realized that 90+% of raider fans are a**holes. I liked the team but I hate most of raider’s fans, so I went with 9ers as their fans are actually decent people. I liked both teams but most raider fans make it impossible to be a raider fan for a normal person. Not saying that Raiders don’t have normal fans, I know few of them but a lot are a**holes and I figure I want to go to the games with out feeling like one.

This amuses me. My ex gf is a Raiders fan. So I now see a correlation :p :ninja:
