NFL: Week 1

I truely hope that Reggie Bush makes me eat my words about not getting 1000 rushing yards. He was pretty damn good for his first start.

How about the Bears? Did they sell their souls for an offense or does GB suck that badly.

If the Ravens finally have a offense to go with their defense they might be a playoff contender.

I completely agree. I was taken by surprise when the Saints didn't collapse at the first sign of trouble. I spoke with my brother-in-law after Cleveland's opening touchdown (called back)...I ended with "I'll call you after we finish losing".

I've been a fan long enough to know not to get my hopes up....but it was a welcome surprise.

Pretty good day of football.

Two of the trendy NFC picks, the Cowboys and the Panthers, lost today...will the Giants make it three tonight?

I was pretty impressed with Reggie Bush too - he's dazzling with a football in his hands.

And last but not least, how about poor Trent Green? The Chiefs' offensive line was so bad all day that he was running for his life out there, and to top it off he got absolutely shellacked as he was trying to slide. Tough day.

I'm pretty sure GB just sucks that badly :D Although I'm liking how grossman played. But man, Chicago is a pass-heavy team now? ***? Either way, I'm excited for the rest of their season.

Gotta say, the chiefs disappointed. I mean, I expected the Bengals to win, but the Chiefs being held to 3 points in the first three quarters? Terrible!

OK, yes, it was a win.

However, no offense to our Cleveland contingent, not a "real NFL" win...I mean, really...what do the Brownies have to put on the field???

I'll get happy if and when they post a division win, because there are some real teams in the NFC South, and any win against either the Buzzards or Yucks is a good one (actually, I've always had a soft spot for the Kitties, lots of N'awlins connections with them).

:)

Next week, we get Mr. Fav-ray and the Pack, and I DOUBT that NO be rolling over like they did last season...the Yucks on October 8th & November 5th...and on December 10th, we get the Cowpatties...wins on those dates will just make my season!!! :D

Uh, are you talking about the one bad call? :rolleyes: If that's the only reason you think they lost then you watched a different game than me!

Please, NY shot themselves in the foot so many times they lost the game all on their own and not because of the refs. I think they must have been trying to lose! Bad hand off, bad throws, and way too many penalties.

Yep, the better team won. If NY had their heads in the game and quit making stupid mistakes they would (could/should?) have been the better team but not tonight. Maybe next time they will be the better team. We'll see.
