Parker was playing like a man posessed. Saints couldn't stop him, and the secondary was out of position for him way too much.

The loss of Joe Horn for the game was huge. The passes that Copper dropped are ones that Horn hauls in. Drops killed their drives at the end.

Gard...buddy....I will be cheering 110% for you guys to beat Cincy next week!

On Gardhog day, the sun didn't shine on the Saints, so he will be in his hole for this week.

I'm stoked that the Steelers won, but I'm worried about the injuries to Polamalu and Townsend...particularly Polamalu. They're a different defense without this guy.

But, as I predicted:
No Steelers turnovers = big old surprise for Saints fans. :D

Colston is an absolute beast though. And Ike Taylor is turning into the new Chad Scott, which is highly unfortunate...

Great play by Hester, nice little fake and great speed. Now the Bears have two record holders for the longest play (Vasher and Hester for 108 yards).

A big thank you to Corey Webster! Madison limping off the field definitely helped us out.

I'll tip my cap on a nice win by the Bears. That Jones third down run was the turning point. Grossman threw some really nice balls and the Giants gave the Bears everything over the middle.

I have a feeling that the Giants will get another shot at the Bears in the playoffs. Hopefully, we won't be without half of our team(Strahan, Umenyiora, Toomer, Pettigout, Tuck, Emmons).

I'm hoping that Tiki's thumb won't be too bad. If the Giants lose him, the season is lost.

Tom Coughlin should be ashamed of himself for trying a 52 yarder into the wind.

Bottom line is that Eli cannot have 120 yards with two picks against a great D and expect to win.

Nice win for the Bears fans.

I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that he went to Hofstra, but players get drafted in late rounds out of small schools all the time. I think one of the commentators mentioned that he had some injury issues in college, too...so maybe there wasn't much tape on him. Even still, it's hard to believe that someone with his physical attributes was overlooked until the 7th round.

Great scouting job by the Saints, in any case.

i know the nfl is always looking for its next big star at a star position (reggie bush), but colston is pretty much ignored by the media. highlight after highlight of bush jumping in the end zone (i'll admit it was a good leap), but the fact that colston might be the best receiver in football this year (up until this point) is hardly mentioned. i hope he gets rookie of the year, and i think more people should wonder why 251 people were picked ahead of him in the draft instead of "why in the world did houston pass on bush?!"

I don't know what you watch, but the beat writers on PTI, Around the Horn, Cold Pizza, and just about every other ESPN show are fully aware that Reggie Bush isn't having that great of a year and that Marques Colston is the route running of Marvin Harrison mixed with the body of TO. He seems to be getting plenty of praise. He'll probably get offensive rookie of the year.

Woooo, I was nervous during the 1st. half of last nights game
That 3rd and 22was huge and the 52 yard attempt made no sense.
And let me just say that Tom Coughlin is crazy intense on the sidelines.
Also I thought that the Giants backups did a nice job in the first half but emotion can only carry you so far. The injury list has filled up pretty quick for Big Blue and I wish them luck.

Damn...if the Saints had played at the level of the 2nd quarter in the 3rd & 4th, that would have been a totally different outcome.

However, kudos to the reigning champs, they hung in there, they didn't put the ball on the ground, and they pulled out the win.

The difference between winning and losing this time was poor ball security by the Saints offense, aided by lack of contain on those two big runs by the defense (they totally STUFFED him inside, as both runs started inside, but no one was "at home" when he bounced outside the tackles! :spit: ).

I still stick by my opinion of my team, they're better than they're given credit for, lesser teams would have folded in the first quarter when they were down by 14, they came back and were UP by 7 at the end of the half, and despite the poor play in the second half, they were still in the game until Copper dropped the damn rock with 39 seconds left.

I'm with y'all about Colston as well, he keeps performing at the level he's at now, he's a mortal lock for rookie of the year - what an incredible pickup in the 7th round!

Oh, and I was happy to see Reggie finally get one on the ground, but damn man, HOLD ON TO THE FREAKIN' BALL!!! That fumble alone was the difference in the game, the Steelers scored on the next play.

...can't be too upset, they looked good for most of the game, and despite the loss, they still not the Turkeys, who dropped a home game against the Brownies yesterday, after dropping one to the Kitties last week. I predict that Atlanta finishes the season #3 in the NFC South, only because the Yucks are even MORE pathetic. I'm worried about the Panthers, they're still dangerous.

Gotta love losing a game and STILL being in 1st place in your division.

You left out something as important as his physical prowess and mental acuity - his attitude resembles that of Harrison much more so than that of TP...I mean TO...

...that alone makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Having a fading star receiver (Horn) teaching him his trade will help his development. Give him almost ten years with the same QB (ala Manning and Harrison/Wayne) and he'll be just as deadly. As it is now he is damn good. Of course it is great when a player knows when to shut the hell up and let his playing do the talking.

You Saints homers are unreal.

I'll give Colston props. He's been very good so far this year, and has a huge upside, but to compare him to a sure fire Hall of Famer after his first 8 games is ludicrous.

I agreed he has some of the same skill set, and appears to - so far - have the same type of attitude and work ethic.

Of course he's a rookie, and he's the BEST ONE this season - I defy anyone to suggest a better one! - but I'd never, and didn't, say anything as stupid as that!!!

...and that you didn't read it correctly makes me wonder if you had too many donuts last night and are having the after effects of a sugar coma.
