But Gard my friend, the Packers Defense LEADS THE LEAGUE in opposing QB rating allowed, completion percentage allowed, and passing first downs. They lead the NFL in interceptions. They lead the league in interceptions returned for TDs(by a 2 to 1 margin over the next closest team) Nick Collins and Charles Woodson are tied for the NFL lead in interceptions, and Tramon Williams, a nickel back, is tied for third in interceptions.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the game. I'm loving seeing Lance Moore play so well. I followed his career at Toledo.

Well, I guess 13-3 and making it to the NFC Championship game last year is not any good. Sheesh! And the Steelers? Well, they lost in the first round of the playoffs now didn't they! Oh yea, in 2005, The Packers beat the Saints 52-3.

Hey now, I'm just teasing with ya. :D

So while you're digging up memories from 2005, do you remember what happened on November 6th at Lambeau? I'm sure you were there.

While we did lose in the first round of the playoffs last year, we still have our SB victory from two years ago, almost three. What's it been, 10 years since you guys won one? I guess that helps explain the excitement of being 5-5 this year, or going 13-3 last year. With the long history of success in GB, you folks should accept nothing less than a SB every year.

Yea, I wish I were there, win or lose it's always fun at Lambeau. Yea, that whole division, each team put a lickin on the 'ol Pack that year for sure!

My only concern is that the Steelers remain somewhat dinged up, and they need to make the quick turn-around for the Thursday night game. Even so, I would think that they should be able to take care of the Bungals pretty readily!

I know I'm not the only Steeler guy who remembers these being tough games. The Bungals have really fallen off.

I'll be in the Burgh for the weekend of the Dallas game by the way. I know we tried to meet up last time, but it didn't work out. Maybe this time?

WOW! Are you serious? They used to have a waiting list up here in Seattle back in the mid to late 80's. I think it was reported to be something like 10 years. I don't know about the Steelers, and how long their list is. I'm quite sure no one else comes close to the wait for a GB season ticket.

Don't they even have some kind of rules in place about inheriting the tickets or "gifting" them to family?

As far as I understand, they can be handed down to the next generation. I was wrong, it's not a 35 year wait, just a measely 30 years. According to the Packers official website, every game has been sold out since 1960. And then this from the packers.com website:

Q: How long is the waiting list for season tickets? How do I sign up?

A: The season ticket waiting list has more than 57,000 names. The Packers tell fans adding their names that the average wait is 30 years.

A five year discrepancy doesn't ruin your credibility around here. The point is still made....it's going to be a LONG wait for someone wanting a GB season ticket.

I went to Lambeau one time, back in 1991 I believe, maybe 1992. Buddy of a buddy hooked us up. I wanted to see Barry Sanders play, so he got us tickets.

Wow, I thought the Giants were the worst ..... 60,000+ on the list with an estimated 25+ years waiting period. Even with the new stadium being built and the highway-robbery PSL's (personal seat license) being charged as high as $20K per seat, that list remains intact ..... :rolleyes:

Let's not forget the Bengals recently won their first, and tied against the Eagles, who beat the Steelers earlier in the year.

Don't be surprised if Cincinatti lays a whipping on the hapless Steelers. They have some momentum right now. Don't get me wrong, nothing pleases me more than watching Pittsburgh beat up on Ohio teams, but they are playing in blatant disarray right now, and barely squeaked out a win over the slightly pathetic Chargers.

Wow, I was hoping for a little more optimism than that! Let's look at it this way.......the Steelers are just now ramping up for a hard charging end of the season, and they're gonna slap the Bungals silly, just as should always be the case! :D

Geez, Eric, your move to Mile High has impacted your fan-boy brain cells :help: Mike's going to have to hop a train and get you straightened out ...... :D

I know the Steelers have had a couple of issues, but 7-3 isn't chump change .... only the Titans have a better record. Don't destroy my dream of a Steelers/Giants Superbowl :eek:
