NFL Week #12

No jumpin' on or off the bandwagon Mike. I think it is kind of funny that if you think of your team in unrealistic ways like "The Lions are going to the SB!" then your a homer. If you talk about the realities of your team and their shortcomings then you are "jumping ship". :hmm:

The Colts are still not where they should be compared to years past. SD pretty much marched down the field at will yesterday. It was a game that just came down to who had the ball last and luckily it was the Colts. Peyton is still not accurate with the deep ball. The D is still weak. We still have tons of injuries and Saturday went out again!

Now, I still think my Colts have a chance to make it to the SB and even win it. However, certain things must happen. First is they have to actually make the playoffs. By not winning their division their fate is not entirely in their own hands. Next, the D really has to get their butts motivated and figure out how to stop the run and get Sanders back. The O line must have Saturday in it or we will not be a serious threat in the PO's. He is just too important to the running of the offense.

Well, I did read some posts from you guys about how the season was over, time to build for next year, it was fun while lasted. Stuff like that. So maybe you didn't get off the bandwagon, but you let someone else drive while you took a seat closer to the back. :D

As for your defense, it isn't going to be great anymore. It almost looks like you guys play football the way Paul Westhead coached basketball....you score, we score. Whoever has the ball last, wins. With Peyton, Marvin, Reggie, Dallas, and Addai on offense, the game is never over until we hit 00:00. Trust me on this one, I know.

Dead on. Their defense is suspect, and their running game blows in spite of the fact that Addai is a good running back. They could do some things in the playoffs, but they need to get some key pieces back in place first.

Not to sound too much like a huge fan-boy here, but the Superbowl Champion New York Football Giants are playing the best start-to-finish games they ever have, in my memories of the many years I've rooted for them. They absolutely do not stop playing at any point in the game, no matter what the score is or who the opponent is. It also doesn't seem to matter if a big player or two or three is out for a game, because the depth they have in all positions is amazing ... :bassist:

That said, I think they have a loss or two coming up in the next few weeks .... their schedule is too brutal against very physical opponents and that's got to take a toll sooner or later. But they're not beating themselves and they're capitalizing on every error made by the other team. Plus, somehow or another, they've figured out a way to shut up Burress and now there is almost no dissention on that team at all ...

I also can not remember a time when the Giants were the highest scoring team in the NFL .... :eek:

This has been a good year so far .... :cool:
