NFL Week #12

Brees played great, no doubt. The Packer CB's got beat a few times, but not near as many as the linebackers. The LB's and the safeties were atrocious. Aaron Rouse and Atari Bigby were horrible.
Hats off to Brees. He took advantage of whatever was given to him.

Aaron Rodgers didn't exactly pick a good game to stink it up either.

AH well, win or lose, first place or last, I will STILL be in Green Bay in two weeks for the Houston game, and I'm pumped!

OK, Gard. Thank you Sir, may I have another?

I thought after the 1st half it was going to be a shootout, not a blowout. What a difference a half makes. I think if Jennings hadn't fallen down and the Saints scored on that INT, the Pack wouldn't have gone flat.

The D decided not to show up tonight. The only real lopsides stats were TO and passing yds, but even those weren't totally skewed.

Oh well, back to the drawring board. I think I'll listen to a little Packers radio post game, not all 3 hours though. I'll have to listen to the radio trolls bring up the Favre/Rodgers comparion again I suppose.

What's that big bleb below Brees's right eye - was he in a knife fight or sumpin? Oh and congrats on the win. Saints were the better team tonight.

I was actually very nervous about the 2nd half, I felt that it would be a track meet, last team with the ball wins kind of game. Wow, was I wrong. :D

As for the interception thing, if you look at the replay, Jennings was perfectly "bracketed" on the play, even if he'd stayed on his feet, David had position on the ball and would almost certainly would have either picked it (not gotten the runback though) or knocked it down. That wasn't so much Jennings falling as much as it was Rodgers making a very bad decision to throw into perfect coverage (a very rare occurrence with the Saints DB's, so it's understandable that Rodgers would have thought it was a mirage! ;) ). Same with David's 2nd INT, he just plain was in position and the ball shouldn't have ever been thrown, but Rodgers did, and again, probably for the same reason.

The mark on Brees cheek is some weird kind of birthmark, and y'know, more power to him for leaving it there - he's got the scratch to get surgery and remove it, but he don't care. ;) On top of being arguably the best QB in the game right now, he's a real class act, just a "guy" kind of player.

If our defense could play at that level every week...sigh...

I don't know about the rest of y'all with no vested interest in the game last night, but I felt really happy for Gard watching the Saints run up and down the field all night long.

I did get goosebumps though when Deuce plunged in from a couple yards out. That was cool regardless of who you wanted to win. All them steroids finally paid off for him when he powered his way in the end zone.....I'm kidding, about the steroids. :D

Man, why you gotta go there? :spit:

;)

Yeah, that was an amazing moment. I stood in my living room and clapped for 5 minutes after that. Getting goosebumps even now, just thinking about it.

Deuce (who SHOULD be cleared of the stupid "banned substance" horsecrap, seeing as the guy in charge of informing the players INTENTIONALLY NEGLECTED to do his job!) is a truly class act, both as a person and player, and I was truly thrilled to see him set the team record for TD's scored, to go along with the rest of the rushing records he owns.

I am hoping that the team will find a way to keep him for the rest of his career, and the day he retires, they retire his number, because if anyone that has ever worn the Black and Gold deserves it, he does.

Yeah, me too. He is such a great guy. I was only poking some fun at you since now it is pretty clear he is innocent.

But really, I am happy for you. Nice to see a complete thrashing of a supposedly good team, especially with all lifes lemons being hurled at you lately. Congrat's pal.

I knew that, took it that way too. :)

Yeah, that was a good feeling, doesn't set everything to rights, but it at least was a period of true happiness for a football fan, and a Saints fan.

If they make the playoffs, well, then I'll really be stoked! (And I think they will...)

Gard, I have to admit, I didn't feel TOO bad last night, because I knew you were likely delirious with joy, and you could use a little of that right now.

Although I hate seeing it happen to my Packers, I'm a big Lance Moore fan, since he's from U Toledo.

I'd like to make the League Office a deal on those diuretic cases.
Go ahead and clear the Saints players, but SUSPEND THOSE CHEATIN ROIDED UP JUNKIES PAT AND KEVIN WILLIAMS! :)
