If you're a fan of QB's(or somersaults
), this is the season for you... 
Here's hoping the temps here in Wisconsin go from the balmy 30's it has been, to the single digits or lower. Saying like I did earlier that the Pack was built for cold weather, was deftly pointed out to me that it's probably not right. However, saying the Pack is more used to playing in inclement, cold, frigid weather, is probably mroe accurate, running game or no running game, though to say the Pack has "no" running game is off the mark. Having grown up in this weather, it's tougher I'd say to catch frozen football, than it is to throw one. And the Packer receivers have suffered from dropsies all season. Having starters back on the O-line should help, as well has getting Greg Jennings back and a couple defensive starters. But yea, stopping the run at Lambeau will be critical. Just found out my friend got 4 NFC Championship tickets lined up and he's considering taking me!
I'm pullin' for Steven Jackson to put about 4-5 of those rushing TDs on your defense....and for the Rams D to look like they did against the Saints earlier this year!
I'm inclined to go with this idea as well. Indy has slowly declined each year since they won the SB. The Indy games I saw, they were a very bad team. Put Peyton back in the picture and they would be lucky to grab a Wild Card, they definitely wouldn't be a top team in the league.

the Colts were competitive in the majority of games this season. they were blown out in 3 or 4 games and the rest were close enough for Manning to orchestrate a victory.the couple of loses of 17 & 14pts would've been within a reasonable reach with PM at the helm.
closer games from start to finish make the out-come less predictable and deficits easier to over-come. check the final scores this season and tell me PM would've let those games get that lop-sided. he is a master strategist, IMHO.

People have been saying that for years. Peyton, Mathis, Freeney, Clark, and Wayne are the Colts. They're a team designed to be playing with a lead. Take out the key piece that gets them the lead and the team and its concept crumbles. Indy has based their entire roster behind what Peyton needs to succeed for years and its shown with poor performances the rare times that Manning misses playing time. He is mission critical for the Colts.
Personally, I'm all for the Jaguars beating Indy. I'd love to see Luck end up in Minneapolis/St.L instead of Indy. I'm tired of playing Peyton 2x a year as it is, I can imagine playing Peyton Lite 2x a year for 12 more.
I'd be happy to play Luck 2x a year. I think we can David Carr or Blaine Gabbert him.
Also, Indy would have to win for St.Louis to get a shot.
The Colts were 10-6 last year, not even good enough to be a Wild Card team last year in the AFC, they won a fairly weak division. Tell me where did the Colts make big improvements to their team compared to last year. They would have been lucky to be in contention for the playoffs this year. The difference without Manning isn't 10 or 12 wins, it's 7-8 at the most.

Yeah, Indy has to win for either the Vikings or Rams to get the #1 pick. I hope they do though. The Colts are a pretty proud team and Jacksonville isn't playing for anything. I'm talking about long term though. The Colts are already built for solid QB play and I'm honestly scared of how good Luck can be if he studies under the great PM,
8 wins would get them right back into playoff talks against Houston winning the division. They've also been without Clark, who is arguably the best WR/TE hybrid in the NFL. They've never tremendously improved the roster with the exception of Mathis/Freeney since Manning has been there. People have always talked about that here, yet they continue to post 10-12 win season and laugh as they head into the playoffs and cash their paychecks.
I'm not saying they'd be a 13-14 game winning team, I'm just saying that they would be giving Houston a run for their money and pushing us out of Playoff contention with Manning in. This season was Tennessee and Houston's best chance at taking the South in almost a decade.
Honestly, I'm glad Houston is getting a spot in the Show finally. I think we posted good numbers too, all things considered. CJ's holdout, the lockout, a new staff and starting players at several key positions. We go into week 17 with a winning season and playoff spot on the line. Munch and the boys really got it done this year.

regardless,.. football is all about chances. with the way the Refs control things, i see favor-tisms playing into several out-comes in any game.
Manning gives them the chance to take a 10-6 record and do good in the post-season moreso than 90% of the rest of the QB's. and yes, i believe he could make a total difference.
Colts @ 11-5 with PM this season,... very doable! IMHO
Also, them W's would be probably dropping other teams in the 10 or so area, closing the distance more.
I think its interesting that the league pushed the Steelers/Browns game back to 4:15, to run concurrent with the Ravens/Bengals. Both teams will be watching the scoreboard!
I'm hoping against hope for the Bengals find a way to beat the Ravens. If the Jets beat Miami (early game) that'll be the only way they make the playoffs.
It's a long shot for the Steelers, if the Ravens pull ahead of Cincy, look for the Steelers to start resting folks.

I was just thinking about that last night. I couldn't remember who was on the cover of this years Madden, and how their season was going. The Curse still lives.

First someone needs to remind DeAngelo Williams that talking smack about a team that is MARKEDLY better than yours, before playing a meaningful game in their home stadium, giving them [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is not smart. Not at all.
And in unrelated to the above, but nonetheless germane to the situation, Coach Payton has made it abundantly clear that there will be no taking the foot off the gas pedal this coming Sunday.

Mainly, I'm removing the part of my prediction that they MAY have relaxed if the 49er's/Rams game got out of hand, they won't even pay attention to that game.
Exclamation point on winning their division game. Brees will play long enough to put up 250-300 yards, to make sure that he can't get caught, and the game is out of reach, then Chase Daniel gets a bit of work to end the game.
Due to the fact that the Saints still have a steak in winning, albeit a very unlikely one to count on St. Louis beating the 49ers in a game with meaning, the Saints will be playing to win.
This is a BAD THING for the Panthers, despite the OROY performance from Newton, their defense is poop on a cracker against the best offense in the NFL right now.
