NFL Week #19 THE PLAYOFFS

Well, as a Falcons fan I will say that Rodgers had an unbelievable game. The dude could not miss. Inertia is crazy. When you're on, you are on. And for the Falcons, when you're bad, you're REALLY bad. Oh well. They went 13-4 overall this year. Ain't too bad.
As a lifelong Atlanta sports fan of 31 years, I'm well accustomed to disappointment. The only championship my city has to show out of 50 plus years is the Braves world series in 95.
I'm pulling for the Packers the rest of the way. Congrats guys.

After calming down and watching a breakdown of the game, yes the Ravens did fall apart. It wasn't just the Steeler defense, although it did help. The Hood/Timmons sack on third down of the last drive was great. Not a bit of surprise from me when NFL career loser, TJ Houshmanzadeh, dropped that fourth down pass.

Aaron Rogers, what a talent. I still like Matt Flynn better though. :)

Our D and O picked up the pace, and Baltimore fell flat on their faces. All of that combined lead to 28 yards in the 2nd half for them, total. We even handed them 14 points on a silver platter and they still managed to lose :D Awesome.

Seeming NOT to be the year of the underdogs this round/year of the playoffs.
Maybe that's as it should be.

Having said that: GO SEATTLE!!!!
I really want a SB rematch with Pittsburgh. Maybe they'll only have 11 guys on the field at one time this time (meaning no bad officiating!! - that's right Mike, still holding a grudge!)

wow, what a game. if it was any other team than the ravens, i'd say (playfully) that the steelers were just spotting em points, but man, that was an emotional rollercoster. nice flashes of brilliance from ben during the second half.

i'll say this much, whoever wins today (probably pats) will not fall apart at the seams next week like the birds did yesterday.

steelers need to come out of the gate on the ball next week or they're gonna get pantsed. :hmm: (and the entire team, not the usual "defense at 110% but the o-line is leaky and ben's not quite awake yet").

Damn! What a game to miss! I ran my cell battery out checking the score and stats between every song at my gig last night!

Anyone know a website that has EXTENDED highlights? Of course, I've seen the five minute version, but I'd sure like to see more.

I'm SO torn for the Bears/Hawks game. As a rule of thumb, I ALWAYS root for the Bears to lose, except when they play the Queens. BUT...I REALLY want the Packers to go to Chicago and send the overrated, lucky, pretender Bears home for the season. I just can't decide. I would so love to see The Claymaker repeatedly bust Cutler in the mouth. I'd love to see Cocky Jay throw pick after pick to Tramon and Collins. I'd love to see Rodgers complete pass after pass against that overrated Bears D. I'd love to see For-tay run into Raji and fall back on his butt. I'm so torn.

The AFC Championship game is going to be GOOD no matter which team wins tonight.

The NFC Championship is just which team gets to host the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers on the way to their next SB appearance, based on what I saw last night. No way either the Seahawks or Bears can stand up to that onslaught.

Heck, I bet the AFC will have a difficult time with that attack - remember, the Pats BARELY beat the Pack, and Rodgers was in street clothes for that game....

...I'm still shaking my head at just how seriously badly the Falcons got stomped last night, that wasn't even a GAME after the 1st quarter.

Right now, from what I've seen so far (understanding that the Pats and Bears haven't played in the post season so far), the Packers are THE team to beat.

How true. Not a good year to be a bird...Eagles, Ravens, Falcons. Does not bode well for the Seahawks, but since the Pack have taken down 2 birds already, would be fitting to take down the Seahawks and all in their "nests".

I don't see the Bears losing to the 'Hawks. They saw what falling asleep on them can do after last week.... :atoz:

I am bummed to hear you didn't get to see that game, it was a textbook @$$whupping after the end of the 1st quarter. Rodgers was just unconscious.

And...on a Steelers note, that was an exciting game for sure.
The keyboard player in my band is a huge Steeler fan, and he and I were both losing it yesterday missing the games.

Big Ben is local, and has a reputation for being a huge D-bag.
Anyway, I couldn't help but thinking.....personal behavior aside, and huge talent undoubtedly....is he possibly the ugliest player in the NFL? Man that's a face only a mother could love. :hiding:
