NFL Week #2

Go Bucs. I'm mondo happy they took it to the Falcons. Earnest Graham with his longest run ever (68 yds) completely wrapped the game up!

Matt Ryan showed good poise with a few long possessions but as soon as they got close to the redzone the Bucs always held them off to a field goal.

The CHAMPS played a fine game of football today. Go Big Blue!

Yup, the Super Bowl Champion New York Football Giants took care of business .... they didn't really wake up until the 4th quarter, had too many dropped passes in the first half, but overall they looked good. 2-0, the way we like to start the season :bassist:

Pittsburgh squeeked one past the Browns ... weather was lousy and I was glad to see the Steelers D looking good. I expected to see a bigger margin, but a win is a win. They'll need to tighten up some for the Eagles, though ... ;)

Bad call on my part with the Jets. I guess Favre (Farve?) needs to realize that he's playing with the Jets, who always find a way to F-up a game. His Favre (Farve?) magic doesn't mean squat with this team .... Big props to the Pats for staying steady and playing through the Brady issue ...

Speaking of handed to them - Ed Hochuli handed the "W" to Denver.....

Sure it was a bad call, but Denver still had to execute the game winning touchdown and two-point conversion plays. San Diego didn't stop them, and Denver executed well. Bad calls or not, teams still play the game.

And don't forget, if one starts talking about refs being able to hand teams a win, I take you back to a little thing called the tuck rule! ;)

San Diego got robbed. One totally botched call with the whistle being blown, and the technical difficulty with the replay. Totally unkosher. I did not know there was a strong mob influence at Mile High. ;)

Bears looked great until the fumble by Olsen, and the momentum changed after that. You can never underestimate how momentum plays into a game. The Bears were dominating on both sides of the ball until that play. From there CAR got an easy touchdown. There were some dropped passes that killed us, as well as the inability to stop Stewart when it was needed. Still a very bad taste in my mouth after that one.

I know it brought a tear to my eye to see the Bears and the Queenies both go down.

And I'll take you back to the '95 AFC Championship game. :scowl:

As for my current Colts, wow, they really need Jeff Saturday back on that line and Dallas Clark in the slot to get this O back on track. The D didn't do too bad against the Vikings considering they were on the field a lot. They bent but never really broke down even though they gave up tons of yardage. It was a very hard fought win for my Colts and I hope it just makes them stronger for it.

Sounds like a Raider fan.;)
