Is that anything like the Bears trying to win their home opener in the spaceship?
No doubt Mr. Packerguy! We're looking at something towards the end of the season now. I'll let ya know when we decide on a game. We had so much fun in the 5 degree weather at the Texans game last year, we decided to do a cold weather game again.

The only game I saw was the NFC championship in 2008, man what a game!

I say Jax, 24-14. The running game is only going to get better as the O line improves. Mojo is already fierce as hell, and the line is young and inexperienced. With a seasoned receiver taking over as TE, and the passing game picking up with Holt and the rookies, the Jags are going to develop a more multi-faceted offense over years past.
I still say this is a developmental year for the Jags. They'll go 9-7 this year, miss the playoffs, then turn around and go 12-4 next year. This, or course, is in keeping with our traditional cycle of: Awesome, Suck, Mediocre, Rinse, Repeat.

Week 2! (Football season goes fast, doesn't it?)
Minnesota at Detroit - Favre I Favre think Favre that Favre Peterson Favre is Favre really Favre a Favre tremendous Favre player Favre who Favre has Favre the Favre ability Favre to Favre really Favre take Favre over Favre a Favre game; Favre however, Favre I Favre worry Favre that Favre he Favre will Favre get Favre too Favre many Favre carries. Houston at Tennessee - So Houston came out and laid and egg. I'd have loved to see that game. Houston, to me, is a team that feeds off its defensive energy: Ryans, Williams, etc. How did they play? I didn't see that game. I'm not sue that this is the game, on the road, to get well against. The Tenn d-line is so very good, and if Steve Slaton can't get off in this one, Houston doesn't have much of a chance. Slaton might be moderately productive though. Last week isn't too big of an indication of Tenn's run D, as Pitt really can't run too well. At home, though, it's tough not to like Tennessee.
St. Louis at Washington - You really have to LOVE football to watch this game. Did everybody see what Jon Carlson did to St. Louis? Apparently, two TDs will win you a game against St. Louis nowadays. I expect Cooley to do much of the same thing. Washington wins, but they still suck.
Arizona at Jacksonville - Now this is an interesting football contest. Jacksonville's running game seems like it could be effective against Arizona, but I worry about Jacksonville's secondary against the Cardinals. It's easy to forget that Arizona was a 9-7 team last year until they got hot at the end of the season. I'm going to go with Arizona, but a gamblin' man.
Carolina at Atlanta - If Carolina is smart, they're going to run the ball 50 times next Sunday. I've read some reports that Delhomme has had some turnovers recently, so maybe it's a good idea to stick to Williams and Stewart. TARD doesn't think that Atlanta is a good team. We heard this all last year and we're hearing it again this year. I actually do think that they're a good team. I'm really impressed with Ryan, and when all else fails, go with the better QB, at home. It's a division game, and they're often close, but I think that Atlanta wins.
New Orleans at Philadelphia - Sometimes Philly plays better without McNabb, but that's usually in the middle of the season. I think that Philly's D came out very emotional after the loss of Johnson and wanted to prove a point. They came up against a sad-sack offense in Carolina last week, and it got them pumped. But, did you notice McNabb's stats? The Philly offense wasn't so great last week. If Philly is smart, they'll use Westbrook more, (the reason that they tend to be so successful without McNabb). This will keep the ball away from Moleman. Who knows with Reid though. I don't expect Philly's D to come out as fired up. I do think that a good return by ex-Mr. Kardashian can make a huge difference for N'awlins, but D. Jackson on the other side is very dangeous too. I like N'awlins in this game, on the road. They'll start hot this season.
New England at NY Jets - Brady's Brady, and that will always keep NE in the game. Throw in Moss and Welker, and well ... I don't know about NE's running game, and I'm not sold on the defense. This will be a well-coached game on both sides of the ball, and will come down to a handful of plays, (quite the Barnum statement there). I like the Jets' aggressive defense, I'm just not sure about the rookie QB in his second game. I'm not sure it will be enough. This is a really tough one, but I'm going to go with New England.
Cincinnati at Green Bay - Green Bay is a much better team than Cincinnati.
Oakland at Kansas City - Oakland showed some spunk. Good for them. So did KC. Good for them. Still, nobody cares. Home team, lazy pick, KC.
Seattle at San Francisco - Remember when I said nobody cares? I sorta feel that way here too, even though these are two great cities. Shaun Hill is not glamorous, but he wins games. I'm not sure he'll win this one though. I like Seattle, because it's a great city, and I think that their team is better.
Tampa Bay at Buffalo - This is a tough one to call. Buffalo showed spunk against NE, and they do tend to start the season well. The no-huddle is not something I'm a fan of. I think Buffalo's offense is not good enough to run it. They simply wind up keeping their defense on the field too long, which if TB can continue to effecitvely run the ball, will take its toll against the Bills. I'm going to say Buffalo though, because I think that TB's defense still needs a lot of work.
Pittsburgh at Chicago - Hmmm. A great defense versus a team that still sort of thinks its a great defense even though its only a good defense now. Pittsburgh is airing the ball out, which doesn't bode well for Chicago, (how was Jennings that open on such an important play?). I like Pittsburgh, even though I worry about their o-line and running game.
Cleveland at Denver - These teams suck. Cleveland
Baltimore at San Diego - Baltimore had the #2 offense in the league after week one. Wow. Good for you Flacco. Baltimore wins because, well, they're better.
NY Gnats at AMERICA'S TEAM - I wish I got to see the NY/Wash game last week. I know that Ross and Nicks are out for the gnats, and that will hurt them. Every team in this division matches up well with every other team in the division, which reminds me of the AFC South in some ways. They're always tough games. You guys I know that I won't pick against AMERICA'S TEAM, but here's my argument. The gnats area team that AMERICA'S TEAM matches up very well against. NY will try to run it based upon last week's game against the Bucs, but they're going to need to anyway because that receiving corps is going to need more time to come together. I think that the gnats will score a little, but it was Dedric Ward that gashed AMERICA'S TEAM last year, and he's in TB now. They'll need to focus on stopping Bradshaw, as Jacobs is a beast and will be moderately productive even in bad games. The trick for AMERICA'S TEAM will be weathering the gnats defensive front 7. But say what you will about Romo, he's very effective moving in the pocket, a trait that will serve him well in his game. The TEs Bennett and Witten will be very active against that aggressive front 7 of the gnats. If Felix Jones is healthy, he can really be the difference maker. I think AMERICA'S TEAM can win this by 10.
Indianapolis at Miami - Indianapolis has won 10 of their last 11 games. The loss was an OT game where they never touched the ball. I like Indy because Manning is very good.

I have to disagree. Indy struggled to beat Jax, and Miami also has a decent running game, and an O-Line that's not as weak as the Jags'. Also, Indy has always had issues stopping the run.
Miami by 3... at the end of the third quarter. Then in the last two minutes, Indy will have like 150 yards passing and win by 4.

Of course, the Saints will have their hands full with the Eagles this weekend. Whether you like it or not.
I have never in my life lit any substance on fire and inhaled the fumes for any reason.
And I don't mean to imply that Atlanta is BAD, just not as good as everyone in the mainstream sports media is making them out to be.
If Delhomme and Steve Smith get their act together, they WILL take your secondary deep, repeatedly. Add to that a pretty good running game that just wasn't able to get it's feet last week, but WILL this weekend, and you might be looking down the barrel of a loss.
Of course, the Saints will have their hands full with the Eagles this weekend. Whether you like it or not.
I am aware of this, but the Iggles are going to almost certainly be without their best offensive weapon with McNabb injured, and no matter how good their defense looked last week, they will be schooled by Brees & Co. Sunday. I happen to like it, a challenge will be good, we'll know by about 4 pm Sunday what the Saints are all about.
This year: they're all about winning the NFC South, and sweeping their division games on the way to doing so.
