Pats will come to play. I don't think this is going to be any

Sounds good to me! But unlike someone else mentioned.. you don't have to cheat to beat the Jets!

Brown & Samuels LOOKED good last week, yes. But let's give credit where it is due - that was more how BADLY Delhomme was playing than anything else. You really think they're gonna look that good against Brees, Colston, Moore, Henderson, Meacham, and Shockey?

Yes. I think the Aint's are going to find a way to lose this one this week. Philly's D is overall pretty solid, I think they'll pressure Brees into having some fits and making mistakes.

I'm also calling a Jets win in NY over the stupid Pats this week by 3.

I'd like to reserve judgement on the Bucs at Buffalo game, but I think the Bucs can and will take them if the defense comes to play. Tampa's got a good QB, burners for recievers, and so far whats looking like a solid rushing game. If the D steps up then Tampa can and should easily win this one.

Week 1 Of NFL Season Proves Tackling Still Preferred Method Of Bringing Down Ball Carrier


NEW YORK—An analysis of 16 professional football games conducted during the first week of the NFL season found that tackling, the act of forcing an opponent to the ground, remains the preferred method of stopping the forward movement of a ball carrier. "In the preseason, we tried a few new techniques like bargaining and hypnotism to take down the guy with the ball," said Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Greg Mattison, who added that he encourages players to use all forms of tackling, from diving into an opponent's legs to touching an opponent after he has already fallen to the ground. "But ultimately, tackling works the best." The Detroit Lions remain the only NFL team that opts not to use tackling, which experts agree probably has a negative effect on the team's standings.
