NFL Week #3

As a longtime Steeler fan (35 yrs+) and former resident, I'm worried.

Past 2 games I've found myself fuming at the Steeler defense for allowing late comebacks by Cincy and Chicago. Yeah, they've only giving up 44 points (by the defense) in 3 games. But 4th quarter scoring over the last 2 games?? Steelers 0, Opponents 24.

And on the offense? What's their red-zone performance? 4 of 9? ugh.

3 weeks in, and 2 games down to Baltimore. I'm about ready to panic... Yep, next week's game is critical...

Pierre Thomas is not "dinged up", he's at full throttle right now; Mike Bell is a bit dinged, but will be back in 1-2 weeks; Lynell Hamilton posted a 4.8 yards per carry average yesterday.

And oh yeah, you're just another fool that wants to label Reggie Bush as a bust, however, he is a player that must be accounted for on every down he's on the field, because he has the potential to go to the house on any given play.

The Saints have the #2 rushing game in the NFL right now, and they have 4 RBs that are doing the job, depth is not a problem. Your perception however is. ;)

Oh, I'm not drinkin' the koolaid just yet...I'm just enjoying watching my guys play downhill at everyone that gets on the field with them. :)

We'll know more about my boys after the Jets game...

Don't worry...the Chargers have some idea that Red Zone = Field Goal...

I don't see you putting any of your picks out in front of everyone the Tuesday before game day yet, Mr. Alligator-mouth Canary-@$$ ....care to step in and take a swing or two???

...and yeah, I WISH we had the Pandas on our schedule this season, we have unfinished business with them, and we will conclude it if we meet this year. I'm afraid that won't happen, as I don't see them making it out of the regular season. They've squeaked by two 1-2 teams and got embarrassed by another 2-1 team.

I remember a 5 game winning streak and a 6 game streak by the Aints to open the season both resulting in an 8-8 record and being out of the playoffs.

Based on Aints history, you know that even as ecstatic as Gard is, there is some fear that they will implode. Even if it's deeply subconscious, it's been trained into him. I'm guessing it's like a crackhead who's totally high and loving life, but somewhat scared that the crack is gonna run out.

I've felt that before. I'm not feeling it now.

They're hammering teams they should, they're outplaying teams they're not supposed to, they're finding ways to win when the way that worked last week isn't working, and they're playing DEFENSE as well as holding the #2 rushing attack in the NFL right now.

This ain't the aints, it's the Saints, get used to it, because you'll be watching a LOT of them this season.

Wow, the Cowgirls are in a total yawner. I think a nap
is in order. A look at the highlights tomorrow, if there
are any, is a way to get another hour back in my life.

Gotta say, the new MNF crew is the most limp d******
announcer crew I have ever had to listen to. Dandy
Don Meredith was the best guy to ever spice up a
really bad MNF game. They sure have lowered the bar.
Even Howard Kosell was more interesting.

I'll check in tomorrow for the final stats. Even Ivy League
football is more interesting than this. Heck, local HS football
is more interesting. Cripes, even talking to Gard is more entertaining.
