Atlanta will be out for revenge after being embarrassed in the playoffs last year. This one will be close and I think may result in the Pack's first loss of the year. But the Pack is firing on all cylinders offensively. If I were Atlanta, I'd throw all day against our #30 ranked passing defense. Atlanta has a dangerous special teams return game. Look for them to get several long returns.

Ah yes... ATL.

They can be as mad as they want for the playoffs, but they have proven shaky this season. Just not in their groove.

The packers do have a crappy pass defense, but we still have dom capers at the helm. I predict they get their act together this week during practice. Matthews will get his game back, stop being 2 seconds late on each play, and probably sack matt ryan 2 or 3 times.

Not a too high scoring affair.... 27-17 pack.

The Bears will play the Lions tough on Monday night if Martz keeps handing the ball to Forte. But if the Lions stop the run early it will be a ten point or greater win because the Bears can't protect Cutler. Martz made a decision to run the ball against Carolina (not hard) and stuck with it because it was producing. But if the Bears running game gets slowed down, pass happy Martz costs them the game.

I also don't suspect the Lions will kick to Hester once, much less twice. The Bears are a better disciplined version of the Vikings with a worse O line. Great running back, mediocre QB, good-not great receivers. On D they have a good front seven, OK db's. The are a better team because they have an NFL coach. The Lions OTOH haven't played their best game yet, unless you count KC, but they have 8 regular season wins in a row including victories over GB and Chicago. Home, on Monday night, this will be number 9.

Not yet, Im still taking it a game at a time. :D

And we have a lot of distractions in Detroit. I mean the Tigers may be in the World Series in a couple of weeks. :smug:

The sad thing is I've taken a second job (in retail) to try to stay even and I may have to work that day. I've only seen one game, although I've watched them all after. I've been working every Sunday.

I suspect it will be a good game, even though I think the Pack are better, the Lions may take the home field advantage to a victory. But there are too many injuries and bumps in the road to make predictions for an NFL game two months from now.

The Titans visit Heinz Field this week. The Steelers have done well against Matt Hasselbeck, so I sure hope that trend continues. Not sure who will win though really, the jury is still out on some significant injuries for Pittsburgh.

James Harrison out with a broken orbital bone, but Ben should play. Now Tomlin will have to stop rotating Farrior and Foote. Funny how the defense has been playing poorly all year since he started this stupid commitment to play Foote more minutes in place of Farrior.

Even going back to the Oilers -vrs- Steelers days this has been a tough get for the boys in blue.

Having Big Ben slowed by a foot sprain really doesn't mean much. He's freakin' tough as they come and I would be shocked if he didn't play. Ben's biggest problem ( well maybe Mendy's too ) is his o-line. They are very porous right now.

Matt, on the other hand, has NEVER had a pass protecting o-line this good. With the tight ends at his disposal I think it really comes down to being accurate and letting CJ have some more carries this week. 2 TE sets with CJ in the back field presents a lot of passing targets for Matt and/or running options for CJ.

Still this is a toss up. The Steelers are in a bad situation and need this win desperately. The Titans get to go into a bye week after this one. I'm leaning towards the Steelers being more motivated.

New York Jets vs New England Patriots, Sunday 4:15PM, at Foxboro. Bitter rivals since the early 1960s, this has all the makings of one of the great games this season. Sexy Rexy and the Jets are smarting from getting their butts kicked by the Ravens, but it's not going to be any easier in Foxboro on Sunday afternoon. It's going to be incredibly loud in there! We all remember what happened the last time they played, and while they won't show it in public, you can bet the Pats want some payback!

Battle of the Bays this weekend as Tampa visits SF!

Can Alex Smith do it again, or will he get lost in the routes again?

If SF shows up to play like they did in Cincy and in Philly, It'll be a great game, SF wins 24-17.

If SF shows up like they did in Dallas? Eww....

9ers get a very serious dose of Blount, and the Bucs defense doesn't drop 3 picks this week. Frank Gore tries to lift his team on his shoulders, but can't.

I don't know, I read that Atl hasn't sacked the QB in three weeks. If they don't find a pass rush I suspect Rodgers picks them apart.

I think that division race will be between Tampa Bay and NO, because they both play a bit of defense. If you can't pressure the QB in this league you're not going anywhere. The same is true on offense. You better be able to protect your QB if you want to win. This is still a passing league.
