NFL Week #5

Pats beat the Jets, but still the New England defense is scary. No confidence when the other team is on 3rd and ...? Hopefully they improve the secondary coverage and tackling.
Anyways, always nice to beat Rex Ryan the blowhard who's act is growing old and moldy.

Congrats to Buffalo, I said last year many times that the Bills were much better than their record, and in their small market is even more impressive. I like the QB Fitzpatrick.

I really liked Nick Barnett and was sorry to see management move on and not sign him this year. Proving to be not so smart of a move in hindsight.

The Patriots finally looked decent on defense - not anywhere near good or great, but decent against the Jets. They gave up 97 yards rushing, and 158 yards passing, which considering their past games, is definitely an improvement. But the Jets converted only 3 of 11 3rd down attempts, which has been historically a major weakness for the Pats. A good win, 30-21, and the Pats should continue to pound the ball with Benjarvus Green-Ellis carrying the load. Well done, Pats! Cowboys come to Foxboro next Sunday, should be another good game.

5-0 looks pretty good!!!

This game looks to be a turning point in the season for the Pack defense. To hold a good offense scoreless for 3 qtrs is nothing short of amazing.

This is a crazy time for Wisconsin sports. Brewers win the NLDS against AZ on Fri, then take game one from the Cards at home this afternoon in the race for the NL pennant. Too bad Bucky had a bye - coulda been a trifecta! WOW!

So much for the Foulclowns revenge. The big difference was, one team made adjustments, one didn't. The Foulclowns came out smokin.....and looked great, but they couldn't hold the consistency. Sometimes coming out that pumped up is not a good thing.

Very cool to see the Raiders win today.

I just finished watching the Steelers game. With the handful of Titan fans posting here, I wanted to be informed about how this one turned out. I expected more from Tennessee, and I suspect this was a fluke today from them. They aren't nearly as bad as they looked. Ben was just on today, and the Steelers line blocked for him. Amazing how things turn out when you control both sides of the line of scrimmage. First INT of the year for the Steelers D too.

Great win for the Raiders!

I always get a sick feeling playing the Texans. We were 1-5 against Houston, and that goes back to even when they were a bad team, and we were a decent team. After the 1st quarter, I thought they were just going to steamroll us. But apparently someone told the defense that it would be a good idea to start tackling. And we've got a fat Polish guy with a golden toe on our side. Found a way to seal the deal at the end of the game, instead of finding a way to lose for once. :D

I am delighted to see the Bills coming back. Good for them!

I look forward to seeing the Lions tonight - there are FIVE WSU Cougars with that team, three players and two coaches. Jason Hansen has kicked in more games for the Lions than any other player in NFL history has played for a single team. Jerome Harrison is a solid running back, and safety Erik Coleman is looking for his on-field reps. They all call each other "Wazzu"..don't even bother with names.

And the Packers rock, then they roll. It's a pleasure to watch.

Lots of stories coming out in Packerland about the Falcons being cheap shot, after the whistle artists. I did see a few, and a few douchey celebrations mocking Rodgers' belt celebration. Sorry Foulclowns.....Aaron's got the belt. You don't. (PS...I found Jermichael's sharkfin first down celebration just as douchey. Catch the touchdown you dropped J-Mike....THEN you can celebrate.)
