mmmmmmm quite. i have to say though, i really wish it was @ foxborough... i wanna see how your wet dreamboat brees plays in gail force winds and a snowstorm.

I bet you DO wish the game were in Foxboro, because if you give Drew a dry field and little/no wind...well, just ask the Giants what he and that no-name receiving corps can do.

I'm callin' that one right NOW: Pats 21 Saints 31, they can't play with NO this year, and with the injuries on the Pats D, they're gonna get rolled up. Before everyone starts going all "Tom By God Brady!" on me, he looked godlike against a team that just didn't care to defense them well - well, except Keith Bullock, who appeared to be pretty disgusted with his team's performance. That's not what will be facing him on November 30th, what will be waiting for him is a defense that is leading the league in takeaways, and has a safety that is the leading active interception champ...oh, and he's 2 pick-6's away from tying the all time record for that (should be ONE, that ticky-tack BS roughing the passer call on Vilma yesterday cost him one ....yet something else we can thank "Tom By God Brady" for, the wimping out of the NFL...it's a contact sport, ain't it? ).

i'd say that the titans do care... they're just hopelessly inept. infact.. although they lost everygame prior i still didn't think they were really that bad... i mean i really though they must be better than st. louis, tampa and cleveland... but now... whooooiee

I disagree about the Titans, they are just giving up, they looked inept because they weren't putting any effort out at all...it's easy for someone that isn't trying to look inept.

I think that Fisher will get them squared away and they'll at least win some games, but against any team that is good, count on 'em just not having what it takes to pull out a win.

Unbelievable.

That was a pretty pathetic display.

I was not happy with it at all, as I really wanted to see the Foulclowns drop another game back. Eh, I'm still not concerned, Atlanta didn't so much "win" last night as the Bears didn't finish drives well (with some input from the Falcons D). I still think the Foulclowns don't match up well against the Saints. (Heck, does ANY team match up well against them right now? )

Not to mention, keeping pressure on the Farvings would be good...

...frankly, the Vikes situation is as much blind luck (typical FAR-VUH) as it is anything else. Eventually, that will run out this season...but because of the ineptitude of the rest of the NFC North, they'll still win the division.

The only reason the Saints didn't put up a 60 on the Giants was because Tuck kept texting Brees ".... don't score any more points on us or I'm going to tell on you to your Mommy...."

Now that was an old-fashioned a** whippin' in every sense of the word. Granted, the Giants didn't show up even remotely ready to play, but even if they had the Saints were smoking heavier than James Brown's rhythm section yesterday . Crazy impressive win, NO was like a machine against a (normally) excellent defense, just embarrassed the snot out of the NY linebackers. Eventually wore the NY D-line down to a nub, too, something which rarely happens.

Giants got schooled by a massively more impressive team, big congrats to the Saints & fans. That said, this isn't the end of the Giants season by any means, and I still see the conference championship game coming up with NO & NY ... hopefully it's a better fight for that one ......

Fact is, it's good for me that the entire NFC East lost yesterday.

Philly lost to da Raiders? WOW!

Next week the 'boys play the Foulclouns. Care to venture an early pick? Keep in mind that 52 of 53 Cowboys have been on the practice field. And Atlanta has played fairly well, especially with the addition of Gonzales.

I WANT D to win but this one is tough for me.

You really want to compare?

Viqueens have squeaked out wins 2 wins based on FAR-VUH and his BAL-WAG* style of football. That won't last forever.

On the other hand, the Saints have put the BEAT DOWN on every opponent:

Closest margin of victory - 14 points (Jets)
Number of times Saints have trailed in a game - ZERO
Number of times Saints have been tied in a game - 5 (the kickoff of each game - the ONLY time they haven't lead in a game this year is before they got their first possession)

The Saints are flat running away from everyone they play, good, bad, ugly, doesn't matter.

I am looking forward to the playoffs, the Saints have a few paybacks to give the Vikings. And eventually FAR-VUH's luck will wear off, that or he'll have to actually play a team with a fully balanced attack.

...mind you, I'm not going to say how the Saints are gonna go undefeated all the way through the Super Bowl and then until the end of time be the greatest ever....however, there is no question in my mind that they're a better team, overall, right now, than the Vikings.

Drew Brees and the Saints are looking good right now... I wouldnt pencil them in to the Super Bowl just yet! The Saints and the Vikes could be exposed once they get into the weather, and injuries are always a potential roadblock. The only team that comes to mind that was a dome team that truly realized its potential was the Ram team led by Kurt Warner- and the Saints remind of them somewhat... The Vikes have the edge because they train in the North and because they have veteran leadership that has much cold weather experience

Having said that- the Falcons are the team that they need to be concerned w/... that team is dangerous. And although the Bears are hit and miss, I wouldnt bet against them as the weather gets worse.

Shockey IS a jerk. My statements about Reed should go to show you that I don't care whose jersey they are wearing, a trouble maker is a trouble maker. Period. To me (and Mike, apparently), Reed isn't holier than thou 'cause he's a Steeler. I hope he's kicked (no pun intended) to the curb for his antics.

As I look at the schedule for the rest of the year, I'm amazed how many of my must see games involve the Saints.

It would be really easy for me to get behind that team......... Something is holding me back........ I can't quite put my finger on it..........

As for the weather, if they continue to play at the same level, they have ONE game left where it can potentially be an issue:

They continue on the Sheridan's March path they're on now, they should end up with home field advantage in the playoffs.

I'm not sweatin' the Vikes, because their streak ends next Sunday against the Steelers. The Saints just need to take care of their own business and they'll be fine.

As for the Falcons, they didn't beat the Bears last night, the Bears LOST to them - big difference. The Saints AIN'T the Bears this season, they FINISH drives when they get in the red zone. No way the Saints get inside the Falcons 20 three times and come away with no points, just won't happen.

Saints will sweep the Foulclowns, mark my words. As for the Yucks and Kitties, great teams beat mediocre to bad opponents, so they BETTER run the table in the NFC South, right?

Oh, as for the comparison to the Rams from the late 90's/early 00's, not really, the Saints have a pretty stout defense to go with their offense.

Shockey IS a jerk.

Shockey is a driven, highly motivated, wound up athlete that wants to WIN. If he feels something isn't going well, he will speak up, and if no one around him has the balls to stand up and tell him to "sit down and shut up, Waldo!" (i.e. Eli's overly laid back style versus Drew's "this is MY show, you're just a part of it - sit back and enjoy the ride" style), he will keep on mouthing off. Notice he's pretty quiet and in line the past two years? Why? Because Brees will get right in his face and calm him down, which Eli never had the stones to do.

He's also a single guy that enjoys a good party in his free time, and sometimes opens his mouth when he shouldn't. Sounds like a friend of mine.
