NFL Week #7

Over? Not even. Cribbs was hit low, and turned up field to try and break free. His forward progress was most certainly not stopped. Harrison did something any LB in the game would do, come in and finish the play. He dove at Cribbs and that is when they banged helmets.

The only question that matters is:

Did he lead with his helmet?

If the answer is yes, it's illegal.

A few conclusions from this week:

The Patriots looked very ordinary and still won because they know how to win and Brady finds a way to will it. Unfortunatly the Chargers appear just the opposite.

Gotta disagree here. The Pats looked *terrible* in that game. Ordinary would have been a relief. They didn't find a way to win, either - they just didn't quite find the way to lose - and they were looking hard. They got lucky, very lucky, on that FG. And the SD offense spent 3 quarters looking like the keystone cops. No, SD just wanted the "L" more....

You noticed that too?

I'm not sure if a team with the #1 offense and defense (YPG) has ever been worse than this year's Chargers.

Gotta agree with you, Pacman. It was a strange game, a contest to see who could be more mediocre. I'm glad I didn't have tickets to this game, otherwise I'd be screaming for a refund!

Well, the Pats Offense looked crappy but at least the Defense held up relativley; especially after traveling across the country and playing a wounded animal.

Only a few teams 5 -1:

How did the Steelers look? Not really a Juggernaut against Miami and I believe that Ben the Rapist got the equivalent of the "Tom Brady Tuck Rule" :smug: - Disclaimer: a few of my Steeler friends give us a hard time about the tuck rule & now I believe they are the ones who received a similar gift on Sunday.

Who's the other "good" team, the Jets? We will see, they still have a young QB and blowhard for a coach with a difficult schedule on the horizon; agree the Pats O looked like dog crap, but it was still a whole team that didn't lose to San Diego.

FWIW- how can Norv Turner be a "grown-ups" NFL coach? No discipline! If I were a Chargers fan I would be really upset. Rivers is a very good QB and deserves better, in my opinion.

That is all......Pete

Bears and Chargers looked absolutely pitiful. I've never seen an offensive line look as inept as Chicago's does this year. Mike Martz doesn't look so bright now that he isn't coaching Kurt Warner and a decent o-line. Oy, what a mess.

People can bust on the Falcons all they want, but they've got some good stuff going on. Roddy White is a freak, the running game is bruising, Matt Ryan seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and with Gonzalez they are very versatile. The Saints look horrible, but I'm not counting them out just yet. Still, Cleveland? Cleveland?

As San Diego continues to lose despite putting up monster numbers, the sentiment against Norv grows in the city. Unless something just clicks and they win the next 12 or 13 games, I just don't see how Norv will be here next year.

Man, I agree. They have too much talent and the city is ripe for a Super Bowl team, in my opinion.

Too much talent on the field, not so much on the sidelines!

Mike Martz's offense requires a stud left tackle, no Orlando Pace, lots of QB's laying on their back. He was a smuck in Detroit.
