NFL Week #7

I hate the cowboys. I HATE the cowboys. But I really hated to see Romo get hurt like that. I also don't like to watch games where one team is getting annihilated so badly, the players visibly give up by the third quarter. That was tough to watch. Jerry, please, please get over yourself and hire a head coach

What is that, the third QB the Giants have taken out this season?

-Mike

I think so Mike. Now if Manning could stop throwing those deflectiINT's, NY might whopp the NFC.:D

lol. ouch. :D you realized that probably prolonged the coldwar by a few years, right? :D

I wouldn't have flown the Steelers colors;) I'd have suffered frostbite and soggy socks first. Everybody's got one of those stories though. Mine involved electric blue Vision Street Wear Hi Tops;

Had a surgury on my ankle @ 12, just as girls weren't "icky kootie bags":D. Surgury required in shoe braces. My Pop went and bought the shoes I'd asked for VSW suedes. ELECTRIC BLUE:rolleyes: and because of the braces they were three sizes larger than normal.

Imagine asking a girl to your first school dance with your blue Bozo the Clown Feet:help::D

that's not cowher's fault, that was all rosie o'donnell and his "awesome" accuracy. funny thing, he has the record for fewest interceptions by a steeler qb, whereas terry bradshaw has the record for the most, and yet tb has 4 rings and o'donnell is directly responsible - 2 interceptions - for the only loss in the sb the steelers ever had.

Yep, Good ole Larry Brown turned Raider and flopped like a dead fish after that game.:D

i still bring it up with her at times, mentioning the therapy i needed and never received. heh.

Man, I'm the only person I know of that has had a "splotch" test administered by a Shrink, only to have the shrink tell me "How the hell do you see that in this picture?....Dammit now I see it too....". :smug:

So therapists/shrinks are overrated.

You got a scar of war, wear it proud and show all the rest of the Steeler Nation the ensuing trauma.:help:

I got to watch the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders when I got a couple of mine.

:D

God Bless, Ray

What the.....is going on with the NFL this year?

I can't make any sense out of most of it, can you guys?

:spit:

;)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I TOTALLY overlooked Washington @ Chicago. :hiding: Scouts Honor, I would have picked Washington to take it to Chicago. They did - I'm countin' it as a "+1", that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. :spit: ;) +1

Cincinnati @ Atlanta - Two teams that were expected to make noise, one has made the sound of a fart in church (Cincy) the other was The Tempest itself (i.e. "a lot of sound and fury, signifying...nothing"). This is tough to call, I have zero confidence in either team...but I have a stake in this one. ;) Atlanta falls to 2nd place in their division, where they belong, and where they'll stay. Cincy 24 Atlanta 20

Atlanta continues to get the breaks...hopefully that will stop soon enough. :spit: -1

Jacksonville @ Kansas City - Jax laid an egg last night. I don't think they have the necessary huevos to rebound against a superior opponent on the road. Jax 13 KC 27

Yup, pretty much what I expected: Jax can't hang...."California here I come..." ;) +1

St. Louis @ Tampa Bay - St. Lou is a team that is gaining confidence. Tampa....well....they got pantsed pretty clearly last week. Tampa has no confidence in themselves, and will play like it this week...again. St. L 24 TB 10

...pfft...Tampa is on borrowed time... -1

Philadelphia @ Tennessee - Tenn is looking pretty stout, Philly has been solid. Road game will cost the Eagles though, they don't have the D to stop CJ2500 this week. Philly 23 Tenn 31

Yup. Tennessee is going to push the Colts this season...+1

San Francisco @ Carolina - Matt Moore is back at starter in Carolina, all is right with the world, right? Wrong. The wheels are COMPLETELY off in Carolwhina at this point, and I don't even think John Fox CARES now. Bloodbath, an angry, underperforming team in SF is going to just destroy a hapless Panthers team. SF 38 Carolina 10

Man, San Francisco has to be the worst good team ever. Coaching??? That's got to be it... -1

Pittsburgh @ Miami - Miami has snuck out some wins, and is looking better as the season progresses. Won't matter, Pittsburgh's defense is too much in the end. Pitt 27 Miami 20

Pittsburgh got flat lucky. I hope they play like this next week too. ;) +1

Buffalo @ Baltimore - Uh. Buffalo should just forfeit this one. Take an extra bye week. Buffalo 3 Baltimore 20

Man, that was a confusing game. I'll take the "+1", but what a stinker by the Ravens. +1

Arizona @ Seattle - Two teams that have flat LUCKED into winning records. Neither is all that solid (AZ fans, before you start making weird sounds, your offense scored ZERO touchdowns against NOLA 2 weeks ago, you were gifted a win by the Saints offense imploding and turning the ball over 5 times). Home team 3. AZ 17 Seaturkeys 20

Cards fans...I told you so, right? ;) +1

New England @ San Diego - Wow. Sandy Eggo is really stinkin' it up, eh? But, hey, they've won every home game, so they have a chance, right? Uh-uh. NE 31 SD 20

Another "huh???" game. Yeah, I get another "+1", but NE didn't EARN it as much has have SD hand it to them with a bow on top. :rollno: +1

Oakland @ Denver - Overachiever on the road, underachiever at home. :hmm: Someone's gotta win, right? Home team 3. Oakland 17 Denver 20

Whoa! -1

SNF: Minnesota @ Green Bay - Minnesota is one game away from mediocre!!! :hyper: Not after this game. Beating Dall@$$ is like beating the football team from the special ed school up the street now, so why be excited? Plus, GB is ANGRY after losing two games in OT - this one won't even get close to OT. Green Bay gets revenge against Brent, 3 sacks, couple INT's, maybe a fumble or two. Ugly loss for the Whinequeens. Minniewonka 17 GB 38

Well, not quite the buttwhuppin' I was hoping for, but hey, Whiners at 2-4 is a beautiful thing. +1

MNF: NY Giants @ Dallas - I'll be watching this one start to finish for the pure joy of seeing the Cowboys complete their implosion for the season. Giants are playing team football right now, a concept that is apparently not considered valid in Big D these days. May not be the blowout I'd truly enjoy seeing here, but Dallas will find a way to lose, and it will almost certainly be stupid and amusing! :hyper: The final score will depend on whether they start doing it early or late. I'm figuring EARLY. Giants 31 Dallas 17

Cowboys fans, you can make all the noise you want about how your boys were "close". The only reason they were is because the Giants went limp in the last 10 minutes. If they'd kept the gas pedal down, this was a complete blowout...sorry about Tony, but at least now you have an excuse for the rest of your season.

Gotta present for you, a bit early, but I believe it's deserved:

My Game: Cleveland @ New Orleans - Saints showed up last week, demolished an inferior opponent on the road. I'm still hesitant, and will remain so until the beginning of November. However, THIS game...not so much. Cleveland is a sinking ship right now, the Saints will be tossing lead weights and depth charges at them. If Cribbs and Massaquoi were healthy, they might actually be a threat to score points. Unfortunately for Cleveland, they won't be. We may actually see Chase Daniels get some game time at QB this week. ;) Saints 38 Cleveland Steamers 9

The only "Cleveland Steamer" I saw on Sunday was laid by my Saints. No excuses, they played like a big honkin' steamer on offense and special teams. I'm still happy with what I saw from the defense, which actually played quite well, considering the crapburger that the offense gave them to work with.

Cleveland took advantage of every single thing they could, kudos to them for coming to play.

:spit:

Still...4-3 is only one game out of the lead in their division, and in the NFC....so we're down but certainly not out.

:hmm:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

9-5 for this weekend, but I'd be happier with 1-13 if my boys had shown up and played football Sunday. :spit: :(

56-48 for the season, so I'm gettin' better...still...just not feelin' good about things right now.

:hmm:

As a Cowboys fan I got something to say to your fork;

Fork You! :spit: You can Take your fork and EAT ME! :ninja:

Lets see if the Saints can beat the Browns WITH their starting QB next time K?

We were going against the best as of last night in our division and lost with a backup by 6.

We sucked on D after Romo left but still came closer than yer Saints big fella.

:spit:

Last week I went 8-6 bringing me up to...

51-39

ATL beats Cincy
'Skins over Bears
Titans over Iggles
Chefs overs Jags
Steelers over Fish (will Harrison actually retire before this game?)
Saints over Browns
Rams over Bucs
Niners over Panthers
Ravens over Bills
'Hawks over Cards
Donkeys over Jokeland
Pats over Bolts - Chargers need to figure something out...this won't be the game they do it.
Vikes over Pack - GB would win if healthy...
Giants over Cowpokes
One more 8-6 week for me...59-45 for the year.
