Again a close loss. Must suck to know that you are so close and so far at the same time.

Its been a good season. Its nice to see the league finally taking care of its players, and its nice to see a lot of parody. So far so good.

I think the new molding of the NFL is a good thing. I'm all for making tackling a part of the game again. I'm all for taking care of the guys who have retired. I'm all for a "strengthening" of the personal conduct policy. I like parity.

Now about that officiating.....

Strange game last night .... Dallas looked bad (with or without Romo), Giants looked horrible-great-horrible .... but a W is cool with me :)

I absolutely hate it when the Giants go into that stupid prevent D at the end of the game. They always give up the short stuff between 5 -15 yards and almost always let some points get on the board. The last 15 Cowboy points were pure give-aways and you can't let Dallas get that close to you. They may be a mess, but they have a bunch of talent and can hurt you quickly.

Those last two on-side kicks were pretty well executed, especially the first one. Big Blue was lucky to get the ball both times and if either one of those on-side kicks had worked the outcome might be way different.

Kitna didn't do a bad job, all things considered .... it'll be interesting to see how the team functions with him at the helm over the next several weeks. I feel for Romo, you don't ever want to see anyone get hurt.

This is a perfect game for Coughlin .... they won, but with plenty of bad playing at times, so it'll give him something to scream at the team about. I almost gagged on my scotch when Gruden said "Tom Coughlin is a players coach" .... Ummm, I don't think so :rolleyes:. Gilbride is a players coach, Fewell (doing a great job with the D, BTW) is a players coach, but not Coughlin .....

heh. i can't speak for anyone else, but i'm not really interested in giving any fans a hard time - even those poor misdirected souls who like the cowpatties - but my dislike for the team itself is about 35 years old, since the pittsburgh/dallas superbowl of 76, and has only gotten worse from then on.

my mother is also to blame. in august of 1979, my family and i went to the then soviet union to spend 3 weeks travelling, and my mother bought me a dallas cowboys poncho for the rain, since she didn't like the steelers' colors that i wore all the time everywhere i went. she made me wear that darn poncho the whole time we were there, which was rainy most of the time, and she wouldn't let me turn it inside out, nor would she buy me another one there, or let me wear a garbage bag, which i strongly pleaded for on multiple instances. was very traumatic and jarring, and scarred me to this day.

in regular season games, i of course love it when they lose, especially squeakers where they obviously blow it like last night, but when they're doing pretty good, i actually like it when they just barely win regular season games too. inflate the playoff hopes, get the team psyched up for post season, either so they can lose, or, in the case of a season when pittsburgh is doing well, so they can face the steelers in the big game and fail like they did all those times before. :D. that's like reliving true love's first kiss right there, at least for me. :D

that's not cowher's fault, that was all rosie o'donnell and his "awesome" accuracy. funny thing, he has the record for fewest interceptions by a steeler qb, whereas terry bradshaw has the record for the most, and yet tb has 4 rings and o'donnell is directly responsible - 2 interceptions - for the only loss in the sb the steelers ever had.

i still bring it up with her at times, mentioning the therapy i needed and never received. heh.
