Denver @ Baltimore: i wouldn't say the wheels are coming off the bus, but blotimore have lost 3 straight. that said i think they get it together and hand the baby "genius" his first loss. DEN 20 BAL 26

Houston @ Buffalo: the buffalo williams have been out gained something like 10,235 to 26 in offensive yards in the last two games and some how won both. that won't happen this time. HOU 27 BUF 13

Giants @ Philadelphia: the giants get some of their swagger back with a win here. NYG 28 PHI 17

Miami @ Jets: the rule with AFC east games is that if one team wins the early game then the other team wins the later game (except when NE plays BUF). MIA 20 NYJ 21

San Francisco @ Indianapolis: alex smith back at the helm for this one... probably won't be a good outing for him. SF 13 IND 30

Cleveland @ Chicago: comparing the browns to poop has never been more appropriate. CLE 6 CHI 30

Seattle @ Dallas: i feel like i haven't seen the cowboys play once this year.. it's like they've been on a 7 week bye. meanwhile seattle is a complete dice roll as to whether they show up or not. SEA 14 DAL 21

St. Louis @ Detroit: game of the week right here... seriously it'd probably be more interesting to watch their hockey teams play this game. STL 12 DET 21

Oakland @ San Diego: San Diego wins big here. OAK 9 SD 34

Jacksonville @ Tennesee: i suppose if the titans are going to beat anyone it could be another crappy afc south team.. JAC 23 TEN 15

Carolina @ Arizona: anyone know what the single season record for interceptions is? delhomme must be closing in(t). CAR 6 ARI 33

Atlanta @ New Orleans: i could legitimately see the falcons splitting the series with orleans, but probably not by winning the road game. ATL 23 NO 29

Since the Steelers are off this week, I'm going to be focusing my attention on the Denver/Baltimore game.

I need Denver to win so we can knock off another unbeaten team next week!!!

Man, by the way we showed up against the Dolphins last time we played them, we're going to have to step it up a notch on D.

HAVE to stop that running game this time around. With the huge loss Miami suffered last week, and the big win the Jets got last week, I think Sanchez will be back in the zone and be able to pick up a W only if his D shows up to play.

Have to stop Ricky Williams, cant stress it enough.

I have no idea on the spread though. It really could be anybody's guess

...apparently, there are those that don't get my wise-@$$ sense of humor, and have decided that I'm a "bad person" around here.

So, with great regret and sadness, I am no longer going to post in NFL threads in specific, or in OT in general.

If I can't enjoy myself, I'll just waste my time elsewhere.

:(

Y'all won't have Gard to kick around when the Saints finally do lose a game, because I won't be here for it.

PS: For the record, I have no gripes with the fine folks that run OT, or our esteemed Admins, Paul and jt. Y'all are doing a very difficult job, and I'm fully aware of it, having been the OT mod myself at one time - you just can't make everyone happy, and I understand that.

Where do I start? Let's go with history. I'll mention a game from a couple years ago, and you tell me to stop going back in time. Then you want to talk about 40 years ago? :eyebrow:

Yes, you have won one more game than we have. Whiptee-frickin-do. We also made the playoffs, and WON the SB, as a #6 seed in 2005. I am seriously not worried about our record in October.

Rather than go back 40 years, let's just go back a mere three years. You had a shot at us, you were up on us at halftime. All that proceeded to happen in the second half was watching your team get the life squeezed out of it by our defense and you eventually choked away the game.....all of this to a pretty bad Steeler team coming off a SB hangover. We were terrible in 2006.

You are correct, the Saints do NOT suck. They are playing good football in October, very good football. I am happy to see them playing well, but I do miss John Fourcade. :D

History tells us the Packers and Steelers have a much greater chance of making the SB than your Saints. Heck, even the Cowboys have a better chance. They've played in the SB eight times, more than any other NFL team.
