As often as Vinny has burned the Flyers in the past; it's actually gonna be cool to see him in the O&B beacuse I like him; he's a good player and should still have plenty in the tank.

Interesting that Lecavalier is already being shown on the Flyers' Capgeek page at 4.5 mil a year; albeit in italics. Rumored numbers are a bit different from different sources as I'm seeing 5/23.5, 5/22.5 and 4/23.5

Nice replacement for Danny B; now what do they do about a goalie. This signing will put the Flyers above the cap (Although Pronger comes off the books at the beginning of the season when he moves to LTIR which saves around 5 mil.).

Someone is moving on. Still think it's dumb to move Coburn. Meszaros for a bag of pucks.

Also can't help but notice that the Avs placed Matt Hunwick on waivers. He'd be a nice defensive addition me thinks. Kind of baffled as to why the Avs would do that to one of their defensive ice time leaders.

Oh wow. cool. I'm glad for that. I didn't think the Pens could afford to lose another quality locker room guy in another off season.

The Coyotes are staying in Phoenix. I have family that live across the street from the arena where the Coyotes play, so I am glad about that. Still, it would have been nice if they could have moved to Quebec.

Wonder what the Flyers are thinking with the Vinny contract? They still have to extend Giroux before next year, still have to find another goaltender, Mason's on a one year deal...

i think Vinny will help the Flyers and will give the offense a shot in the arm they need, but now they lack the dough to fill other pressing holes.

There for 5 years, then the new owners can opt out. If team losses reach $50 million after 5 years, they'll be gone. Glendale is on the hook for $15million/year to manage the arena, but is only budgeting $6million, the rest in not guaranteed.

Seattle was on the list. I lived an hour south of Seattle for 30 years. I like Seattle too, and we're probably going to move back. I would be stoked if Seattle got an NHL team.

I just don't think the market would support an NHL team. Between the price of tickets and the quality of the team, I think it would fail after a few years. Sure, people like the Thunderbirds and the Silvertips up in Everett, but I just don't see it working long term. Is the third WHL team you are referring to the Winterhawks in Portland or are you thinking Tri Cities and Spokane?

No, Laz is right. The good-bye last week was before Horton pretty much told them that he wasn't coming back. I heard the Jagr talk on the radio today. While I like Jagr and he earned his keep as a rental, I'm not sure about a whole year.

If Iginla still wants to win a Cup, he should consider coming to Boston. We can be a pretty forgiving crew when it comes to filling holes on the hockey team.

I think they are banking on a significant cap raise in the 2014 offseason.
