Good for Anaheim. I don't know how he's been playing lately but he was good. Replacing selanne for another old timer? Whatever works.

Seattle is blowing up (good not bad).

The Heatley signing is going to be good for Anaheim, I think, since he won't have to be the man with Getzlaf and Perry in front of him.

That Flyers jersey is just bad, it makes the Islanders fishsticks jersey, the Kings' burger king jersey, and the Duck's Wild Wing third jersey look good.

That's the least of the three new rules I've heard of as far as being bad for the game. With the concussion lawsuits of late, it's not a surprise.

The OT change to 7 minutes with a drop to 3 on 3 at the first stoppage after 4:00 is one I have mixed feelings on. It still screams gimmick, but if it means less shootouts, I guess I can live with it.

The one that worries me is the one where if a player's helmet comes off, he has to put it on immediately and tighten the chin strap. I can see this costing a goal at a bad time.

Real excited for the Buffalo Sabres this season. They may likely finish in the bottom 5, but they'll at least be more competitive and interesting than last year. Amazing group of prospects in their system and three 1st round picks next year. I kind of hope that the Islanders pick lands them in McDavid/Eichel territory instead of their own...

I miss the days of the dominator. I was just explaining to my lady how he made upside down saves with his legs lying on his back.
