NHL PLayoffs 2009

They rescinded the suspension of Walker. I'll admit to be a bit biased so I am interested in what neutral hockey fans think of it. I was hoping for a longer suspension and was thinking that the worst they would do is simply let it stand as called on the ice - my bad for thinking that the NHL can get our of its own way.

What good is it to have rules and referees when you do not enforce the former nor back up the lattter?

I am going to create a filter for my web browser to translate anytime someone says "NFL/NHL/NBA/etc is a joke" to "My team is loosing. Filter 2.0 will also include translator for "I know i am a little biased" to "I know i am wrong but gosh darn it thats my team!!!"

PS: Aaron Ward started the whole thing... I mean "He pushed walker in a face with his gloves and stick"....... Thats not trying to start a fight at all...

I'll take that as one neutral party no. Anyone else?

But kserg look again - Ward was pushing Cullen out from in front of the Bruins goal, which I understand is part of a defenseman's job description, then Walker comes in as a third man and drops Ward with no hesitation.

Sorry, didn't see the fact that he wasn't "pushing" walker in the face but a different player. Still, the player was pretty damn far away from the goal, and he didn't just push the guy... Still don't think that deserves a suspension...

It looked like a sucker punch to me. Lucic will show him what a punch feels like. Walker is going to wish he was suspended.

Well bummer. Things didn't turn out quite like I had hoped last night.

As much as I wanted to put away the Caps last night, this is a great series to watch and I am going to enjoy watching another game. This is the most I have seen AO in action, and he is quite the player. He seems to disappear here and there like Malkin does, but that may also be a result of some good defense from each team.

Come on Pens......come on. We took them out once already in Washington on one days rest. Time for Malkin to step up and end this.

Big game for the bruins.LOL

obviously

My completly biased opinion of the ward insident,,,

You step on the ice you allways have to be aware/responcible of protecting your self

Aj

When I was still playing competitively, I'd make it a point to hammer any player on the opposing team who had a bad habit of skating through the neutral zone with his head down. It's definitely the best wake up call for guys who don't take the precautions of protecting themselves.

I'd like to see the Bruins and Hawks in the Finals. Original 6 teams woohoo! :smug:

3 game 7's!!!!!

Aj

More importantly, one of them is in the Gahden - the Official Home of Game 7 in both hockey and basketball. :D

Even after going down 2-0, the Canes showed a lot of drive, there is no quit in them, but the Bruins were able to match the intensity and hold them off. Thomas came up with some big saves and fortunately the few long rebounds found a Bruin stick rather than a Canes'.
