It very well could be. We'll have to see what sort of actions the league will take in the morning, or at some point tomorrow. I freely admit that I'm a Wings fan, so my judgement on what happened today may come across as a bit biased, but come on, now... The Calgary team that was hanging around for the last five or so minutes of the game is a complete and utter embarassment to the sport.
More than anything, I feel sorry for the fans of that team. A good, hard-fought series is a wonderful thing. Yes, you want to win. No, you don't want to get blown out. If it was the Wings getting blown out, I'd be yelling every swear word I could think of at the t.v., and thinking all sorts of nasty things, sure... but I would be truly ashamed to be their fan if they acted the way that Calgary did.
I believe that they are a better organization than what they showed themselves to be, this afternoon. Sending your backup goalie in to do some beer-league cheapshot junk does you and your fans a great disservice.
