NHL Season 2019-20

Apparently so since they didn't score again. I like the Bruins, so I'm not totally disappointed at the result tonight. I would like the Pens to grab the next game though.

Well, one Florida team did OK though they tried to 'blow' it, the other looked, uhhh, not like a team that just won 10 outta 12. Long flight? Colder than Tampa when they left? Hungry opponent? (D.) All of the above?
It only shows up as two points and a W in the standings, but I feel like that was a big win for the Pens today. Boston is a good hockey club, real good.
Boston came out on fire and racked up three goals in the first. The Pens looked and played like crap until they got one back later in the first thanks to the always hard working Crosby.
That opened the door and the Pens ripped off three more unanswered goals for a well earned tough win.
Sullivan is doing a nice job this season so far considering what he's been working with.
My buddy Johnson got a goal to tie the game, but if he hadn't scored one for Boston in the first (the third goal), he could have had the game winner.
But no, it was a hard forecheck from Malkin that set up Rust with the game winner.
I thought Murray really turned it around after the first, but he did give up another glove side high today.

Yeah, Boston only scored two.
(I really thought you'd be harder on JJ especially after his "own goal" as they say in the soccer world.)All kidding aside, I had a good feeling about the game, even when down 3-0, and despite it being against the Bruins, who always cause problems for the Pens. But reminiscent of the two Cup-winning years (2016 & 2017), when they would often be down early and then almost seem to enjoy playing catch-up. You gotta give it up to the Pens for their perseverance and not giving up. But gosh it would be nice not to get down a couple goals early so often.
Enjoying a Yuengling is never wasteful. (I rather enjoyed the game tonight...)
But don't worry. The Flyers will find a way to miss the playoffs. (Sigh...)
The traditional lager is all I drink from Yuengling, in bottles or on tap. Oh, and it has to be the Pennsylvania Yuengling. The Yuengling from Florida is not as good.
I almost made a batch of pierogies and some kielbasa tonight too.

My mother's side of the family has some Polish bloodlines, so pierogies were not uncommon at family functions. I gotta admit, as a kid I wouldn't touch them. But I do miss some of the other ethnic food I grew up with in southwestern PA though.
(I figure I'd talk about the food here, because sadly, there just ain't much to say about last night's Pens game.

Seriously, there used to be a terrific Polish restaurant in NE Orlando, where I would get the Wazanki/Haluski(over spaetzle, not noodles)and my 'bitter half' would have what she considered the best potato pancakes ever. Unfortunately, they closed.
IDK why, they were always busy.

I tried some of the Golden Pilsner to see how it compares to the Traditional Lager. I actually found it to be pretty good. Lighter (in color and texture) than the Lager, but a good choice on occasion.
Apologies for derailing the hockey thread. Oh, one more thing: @dwm74, where in Southwestern PA did you grow up? I'm originally from Johnstown.
I think it's been firmly established that hockey and beer go hand-in-hand.
