NHL Season 2019-20

Austin, Texas. It came on USA here, just as the NHL website said - but my cable info showed something else.
Strange that they didn't put it on a sports channel, nor on regular NBC.
They had a game listed on USA a coupla nights ago. They have other sports scheduled on their regular channels today. NBC doesn't control the accuracy of the crawl. Not even on Comcast.

Props to the Stars... They took it to the Avs and did what they had to do. I like both of those teams, so despite picking the Avs to win the Cup, I'm not terribly upset to see Dallas still alive.

Now if the 'nucks can pull off the upset... Still scoreless late in the 2nd St the moment...

Same here. I'd love to see Trotz get his second Cup.

But if TB or Dallas win it, not going to be too bummed.

For me, its anybody but Vegas. Can't quite put my finger on it, but despite being on their bandwagon their first two seasons, I really grown to dislike them.
I've never really liked Vegas - mostly because of their embarrassing pre-game "entertainment". That ain't hockey. I am glad Reaves is suspended for this first game. I love rough, hard players. I love fighting and letting the players settle things themselves. But that guy is a dirty player. Hitting someone, who knows it's coming, is one thing. But, hitting people who don't know it's coming, or are in a vulnerable position is wrong. This isn't his first time.
I like old school hockey, with fighting. But I hate dirty players who take cheap shots. If your about to really "let somebody have it" - then say "heads up" or something. You're supposed to warn them.

I like Vegas for two reasons, Fleury and Reaves.

I like Fleury, because his playing makes up for his sometimes (ok, a lot of times) questionable plays. But, Reaves seems like more of an old fashioned "goon". Not so much talent, as goon.
I like "enforcers", but he's not one.

I don't like those style players. I am still extremely embarrassed that Dallas once signed signed Sean Avery for about a week. :rollno:

I've watched Reaves for a few years. He plays his role, and he's made some mistakes, but I wouldn't classify him as a goon.

I'm not blessed with terrific eyesight and I'm not a mind reader*, but I did not see intent on that play. As a matter of fact, Reaves ducked his shoulder and the Canuck planted his chest/face into him. Two minute minor, maybe. % minute major and a game? Nope. The Canuck came back and played looking just fine. The game was over when Vancouver pulled Demko. They might've scored to force OT, but without Demko playing out his butt, they were done. IDK the actual stats on it, but games I've seen, the 6th attacker doesn't work that often. The MT netter does.

*nor do I play one on TV. And I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express
