Agreed. I've watched all of them this year and can't think of many that they couldn't have just as easily lost. It's great that they're finding ways to win, but can't help wondering if it's just smoke and mirrors. Boston made them look like a minor league team.

TK back in tonight. AV has a good track record of pushing the right buttons. Scratching TK is a pretty ballsy move and putting Morin in for that physical presence then proceeding to play him for like 5 mins sort of defeats the purpose.

We’ll see how tonight goes. The Isles play a boring brand of hockey. They are good at clogging up the NZ and their blueline. Flyers have issues establishing a forecheck against them once they get into the Offensive Zone.

They definitely got away with a number of penalties. Not just interference. They mugged Lindblom. Clutterbuck even gave him a shove from the bench, but nothing was called. Which was surprising with all the harmless stuff they were calling (on both sides) earlier in the game.

Flyers pulled it out again in OT after blowing another 3rd period lead. Farrabee got his first-ever hat trick but didn't get the satisfaction of hats on the ice. He and Myers played strong games. I thought Raffl and Lindblom were pretty weak tonight. Raffl just couldn't seem to control the puck tonight. That surprised me a bit because he is usually "Mr. All-Out Effort". He was still trying hard, but seemed to be having an off night.

Back down to earth for them Wednesday though. Boston is coming to town... :rolleyes:

I’ve grown into not grousing about the refs but there were a lot of ticky tacky calls and to just let that cross check to Lindblom go was ugly; doubly so when that player from the bench grabbed Lindblom on the same play. Prior to that was a missed cross check to Scooty Loots face. Frustrating game with regards to the officiating.

Yeah Raffl looked off his game. Lindblom and Patrick both look very rusty too.

Ghost has been looking a lot better than years past. Wondering if he ups his value this season and gets poached in the expansion draft.

Good point. He's playing much better than Braun, Gustafson, and Hagg. He'd be good to hang onto if possible. But Seattle will probably grab him in the expansion...

GM of NYR announces Tony DeAngelo has played his game as a Ranger. Hopefully his last game ever in the NHL.

TL;DR: he was upset for being scratched and has had issues with teammates in the past. Cocky little kid. GM said one more issue and he'd be removed from the team. After Saturday's loss to the Pens where he screwed himself over and let Crosby score the OT goal, he apparently got into it with Georgiev (not the best idea) and the scrum was broken up.

Put on waivers Sunday, cleared. I think he's played his last game in the NHL. No team wants him no matter how badly they need someone of his talent. He's good but he's such an off-ice toxic figure that I don't think any other GM will take a chance on him.

Penguins suck apparently. PP non-existent.

Canucks just completely died to the Habs. They looked awesome against the Jets on Saturday but decided to send their AHL team to Montreal for this game. This is not on Holtby. Defense was absolutely %#$%$# atrocious tonight and the amount of turnovers actually made me punch my desk in frustration.

One of the few times I root for the Bruins is when they (or anybody else) are playing the Caps or Flyers. :smug:
Last night's game was epic, especially coming in a home game for the Caps. The look on Laviolette's mug was priceless.

Can't say that didn't make my night...especially after the Penguins came up short against the Rangers. I knew going in not to have high expectations this season for my Pens, and while still above .500, the team this year is nothing to get excited about. Always hopeful they can string together a nice streak, but not holding my breath.

Habs are looking really good!
Except, stangely enough, Price has let in more than a couple softies.
The North division is by far the weakest. Montreal and Toronto are the only decent teams. No D at all on any of the others.
The east is crazy tough. There will be a couple good teams not making the playoffs in that division and a couple not so good teams making the playoffs in the West. Going to be a fun playoff season.
