NHL Season 2022-23

Bruins didn't play well for the second straight game and this time the Panthers were sharp - forcing Bruin turnovers and taking advantage of them. They were clearly the better team and eventually pulled away in the 3rd.

The refs called the game a little too loose for my taste so it was pretty chippy, but it was evenly called and evenly chippy so no complaints.

There was a point during the second period that the Leafs had the puck in the O-zone for what seemed like 5-6 minutes straight. Chance after chance, with great puck movement, but unfortunately no goals. Then TB comes down the ice and scores, making it 3-1. With momentum potentially turning on a dime, I was hoping the Leafs could brush that off and continue their gameplan. Thankfully Tavares made it 4-1 shortly thereafter and perhaps these guys have developed enough savvy to not change what had been working well so far. Good effort by the Leafs, and props to the goaltending for stepping up.

2 guys fight in Rangers Devils game and then everyone else on the ice gets 10 min misconducts for watching I guess. o_O
Nice to see the Rangers playing team defense. Who woulda thunk it? :)

Glad (and shocked) to see Rielly's boarding major rescinded upon further review. Watching it as it happened it appeared to be a case of Point catching an edge and going down with minimal help from Rielly's check. In other words, it looked much worse than it really was. Despite the Lightning players' immediate reactions, it should have been a non-call and the refs got it right.

And what can you say about Ryan O'Reilly? Late game-tying goal, important face-off wins, and did everything it takes to win a playoff game.

Figures. I tuned out when it was 4-1 TB. When I tuned back in I saw Bissonette going crazy and the backdrop of 4-4 getting ready for OT. Missed the Leafs' comeback but at least I got to see the winning goal.

Next question...are the Kraken that good or is it just the Avalanche not playing up to their capability? I haven't seen much of that series, but I'm sure few people expected it to be tied at 2 games apiece.

Yeah, but I have seen this play before....and I don't like the ending.
Yah, it's like deja vu all over again! The only difference I can see in this series vs the last few years is that Vaselevskiy isn't nearly as effective as he has been. the dude looks tired and rightfully so.
It's anyone's guess which Leaf team shows up on Thursday, but I am guessing that the same level of play as nights game, meaning a lot of teeth grinding for Leaf fans. It would be nice to see some killer instinct!

The Avs had a few important guys out right towards the end of the season. I just don't think they're in sync yet. Unfortunately the yet might be too late.
