That would be a benefit for sure in your time zone!I'm retired, so I catch a nap(afternoon delight at my age)when there's nothing worth watching, then watch all the games. Some of which also haven't been worth watching.

NHL Season 2023-24

Being in MST, I can hear the whole 9 innings of day ball while still at work or driving home. Not all bad
'Our' cable company(Xfinity)had a a 'disagreement' with Bally, so I can no longer watch either FL team unless they're on MLB. And I can't justify $150 for MLB Extra Innings. Aaaarrrggh!
Also no horse in the race, although there are teams I root for and some I root against.
Right now, I'd prefer any of the four West teams over any of the East teams, except Florida.
If it ends up being Florida-Colorado or Florida-Vancouver that will be a tough choice for me.
But ANYBODY versus Boston or NY Rangers is a slam dunk.

I just hope the refs stay out of the way and don't micro-manage the games.
Is it me, or now that there's widespread legalized gambling on sports, weird official calls are pervasive? Hockey has always been the one sport that didn't SEEM to have a big problem in that respect, where the players played and the officials' calls were generally consistent, especially in the playoffs. That seems like long ago and far away now....or maybe it's just me. GET OFF MY LAWN!
On the bright side, if it's apparent that all American sports have turned into international soccer, officiating and flopping all over the place, that'll make it easier for me to cut the cord and not worry about whether I have a comprehensive streaming sports package, and maybe save a couple $$$ in the process.

I don't watch much of either, listen to both. The $30 for the mlb app is worth it
They say Bally's "filed for bankruptcy", but my family in Orlando is on Spectrum and they still get Bally.

I had started separating myself from pro sports already, but once the various pro sports leagues started jumping in bed with the gambling industry, that sealed the deal for me.
I'll take a peek at a game now and then if it's on free TV and I'm not doing anything else. Otherwise, forget about it.

I'm a much bigger college hockey fan these days vs. the pros, and even get a kick out of the women's pro league PWHL (Boston in the final this year). But the NHL has so much speed and skill, I don't think I could fully give up on it.

Though I'm not big on any of the NY teams in any sport, I do have a soft spot for players who've progressed from being a local talent up into the pro ranks. Chris Kreider, in particular, is a player that I remember watching as a young public high-school player before he transferred to the ultra-toney Phillips Andover Academy, which is just a couple miles up the street from where I live. Anyway, what Kreider did last night in the 3rd period was impressive with the natural hat-trick. Can't say Carolina's defense and goaltending were very swift, but still, quite an achievement for a local kid in the NHL playoffs. When the Bruins bow out, I may stay on the Rangers wagon for that reason alone.
ECAC hockey FTW!
We're moving back to New Hampshire in August, and I can not wait to go to some games.
