Munji's Sadowsky 25th and Jerzy had great necks.
Lakland 55-02 necks. Love how they feel.
James Hart's BEE 7 string had a great neck. My ideal profile. Wide 'n' flat.
The Modulus Flea bass has a good neck. The only thing I really liked from that bass, however.
Sterling necks are really comfortable.
And the obligatory 1959 Fender Precision.

It's sad that Curbow hasn't been mentioned yet. My 94 Petite FL feels incredible - very thin profile with a natural, slick feel (Rockwood is so awesome). Doug makes a great necks for sure. For those who like thin necks, Curbows are deffinitely a great choice.

I think it was an older Fender Jazz, the owner hade done something with it but I can´t remember what. It is the smoothies bass I have ever played!

Honestly, though, I've always been comfortable on any neck, from thin to thick, satin to glossy. Guess I'm just not that picky when it comes to necks.

My old Hagstrom Hag II from the 60's definitely has the best neck in the business, if you can accept the short scale.

Thin and slim and straight, the action is so low it is nearly nonexistant - it melts in your hand and nearly plays itself. There is just nothing like it.

My USA Cirrus 5 is 2nd.

Probably my Yamaha. It has been finished off so nicely, and the feel of it is so smooth it is a joy to play.
And because it's a 5er, it's fairly wide with a little flat bit running down the middle of the back of the neck, and this makes fingering a lot easier.

I can play this bass for hours!

My '05 Wilkins Custom P/J neck. It's a slightly deep "C" shape 20 fret Maple neck with a 7.25" radius Ebony board with vintage frets. The width at the nut is 1.52" and the fretboard edges and fret ends are radiused. Plays like a dream, smooth and comfortable too. Also the neck on my early 60's Fender Jazz was very nice too.

You know, I was really surprised by the Soundgear 24-fret 4-string neck on the bass that had the two MM style pickups (can't remember the model #). While I certainly don't think it's the best sounding bass I've ever played (not by quite a bit), it definitely had the best feeling, fastest playing neck I've ever played on. The neck on this thing was just plain awesome! It was the active version of this bass:Invalid Link Removed

my biggest beef with it was the that E string was just way too hot! I would be afraid to play it at any volume for fear that it'd blow my amp! (any amp!)

Definitely Jerzy Drozd. He takes Mike Tobias' innovative asymmetrical profile and flattens it front-to-back, increases the fingerboard radius to 20", adds graphite stiffening bars and the most frictionless satin finish I've ever felt. I've yet to play another wide-spaced (18.5mm) fretless six-string that feels so effortless and non-fatiguing, and the stability is excellent.

They also have a beautifully carved volute that's both extremely comfortable and strengthens the critical neck/tilt-back headstock/truss rod cavity area.

Oddly enough my favorite necks are the ones that have had no finish; my Warwick LX5 and my 70s P after the finish was removed and oiled (a long time ago, mind you, wish I still had it).

I very much like the neck on my Warwick Corvette. It took some getting used to, but I love it now.

The nicest neck I've played though has to belong to Rusty66's fretless Tomkins bass. Beautiful!
