One thing Gibson did NOT change about the Tobias bass was the neck. The adjective "pre-Gibson" adds no useful information, indicating only that some people consider Gibson's bad reputation more important than the actual instrument.
To the best of my knowledge, Mike Tobias's neck shape hasn't ever changed from his original design, making pre-Gibson, post-Gibson, and MTD necks all shaped alike. I agree this is a great shape, very comfortable and easy.
So what necks have seriously blown you away?
