Nicest neck you've ever played

I can't believe I'm saying this but I've played 2 basses since my first post on page 1 of this thread that have had exceptional feeling necks, yes, just as good as my Lakland, but much more expensive also. The first one was a Skjold P bass that Tom Bowlus let me play when I met him at the Fifth Avenue Fret Shop in Columbus, Ohio. It was fast, flat, and smooth as silk. I had no problem playing that bass at all. The B string was really nice and rang out low and clear.

The second was at the Cincy GTG on march 1st. I played an Acacia 5 string with fanned frets and MAN, it felt amazing. The frets were fanned from 34" to 35" so it really wasn't all that drastic. The B string was ultra tight and was set up to perfection. Of course the bass was over $3,000 used so it should be nice, right?

Fours: The EBMM SR4, hands down.

I love the feel of the Warwick necks. I guess that the general consensus is that they are thick oe chunky or whatever, but I like the "meaty" feel along with the wood grain of the ovankol..

My current main bass, a Fender p-body with a neck I ordered from USA CUSTOMS out of washington state, and the bass I used 10 years ago, a 1983 IBANEZ MUSICIAN( I wish I still had it) were the best necks i ever used

My Warwick Thmb 5, which has a different neck profile that ANY Warwick that I've ever played.

The nicest neck I've played continues to be my Yamaha TRB. The flattened D profile is substantal without being a baseball bat. I've also played American Fenders with the slightly rounded C profile and they're pretty good too.

Sorry but I actually returned that bass back to guitar center because the neck was overly lacquered. So much that it made it have a sticky feel. I actually loved the way this bass looked, but hated the way the neck felt JMHO.

The Modulus Flea bass has a good neck. The only thing I really liked from that bass, however.

I bought one because it played so well but was really bummed it never sounded very good. So I did love the neck.

My Skyline DJ4 is my now favorite but neck comfort is very subjective.

But the most peculiar thing is that the neck that's one persons favorite can just as easily be the next person's least favorite depending on their preferences. Prompting a "OMG I PLAYED ****** YESTERDAY AND IT"S NECK SUCKED... WORST I EVER PLAYED, WHAT ARE YOU GUYS THINKING!!!"
