So if there is a similar thread, please ignore. But DAMN, this thing is incredible. I got one a while back, and it really rounded out my tone in front of my PF-20t in a way that I really didn't anticipate. Just round, boingy (?) and super warm and full. I just got a V-B4, as well as a Sushi Box Slampegg Bee Pre, and both the new head and the new pre are made appreciably better by leaving the Edison on, pretty much full time. I also have an SGT-di, and this is also made so much more alive by the Edison. It is an always on pedal for me so far. Wanna buy a second just to have, just in case.
So what say you, TB? Any other Edison folks want to chime in on how this pedal is being used?

when @2saddleslab said it was his "secret sauce" i figured i'd better try one myself. i figure i need all the secret sauce i can get!

i've only had a few minutes with the one i purchased months ago (we've been packing/moving/unpacking) --- but i'd agree with your statement, above...love the round, "boingy" thing!

i'm gonna take mine to a rehearsal tonight, and i'll use it on a gig this weekend...it's my first real use of it...should know a little more about it from a couple of uses...but yeah, round, warm, full, and boingy are all good qualities in my world!

i think "always on" will be my use, too. for me: i can't put it on my pedalboard because i don't always use pedals. i'll have to figure a configuration, but the pedal is very cool --- and as 2saddleslab pointed out in one of the threads = it looks cool, too! (mine lights up purple, for my daughter).

edit: and FWIW, i'm not crazy about using the boost switch on mine at present. i don't play too many tunes that need the apparent "grit" the switch provides. but who knows......

Still enjoying my Edison [from run #5] as on always on boost for both live & in the studio.

As the OP states, it works really well w/ the Ampeg SGT-DI.

I really like this pedal but I went through quite the ordeal with the Lighted switch. The LED stopped working shortly after I purchased it(New).

Seth was kind enough to send me anther switch but it was a slight different design as far as it's construction. It was also Blue vs. white(LED color). When I installed it, I had the same problem.

I discovered the problem with the original switch which was the leeds for the LEDs shorting out against the metal switch housing. The LEDs simply protrude too far through the circuit board that the LEDs are mounted on.

I was able to repair the switch by clipping the leads back with some tiny Diagonal cutters. I then quickly hit them with the Soldering pencil. I reinstalled it and it was fine but I had cut the LED wires very short when installing the 2nd switch. So I ordered a 3rd Switch(White again) from the Supplier Seth recommended.

The 3rd Switch has the exact same problem where the Leads for the LEDs will short out against the metal housing of the switch. So I clipped back the leads and re-soldered them and now she's back in business and working perfectly.

I am including some Pictures of the areas of contact (Shorting out) of the switch.

The 4th and final 2 Pictures show the marks caused by the short:

I put an NOS '65 Mullard 10M Gold Pin EF-86 in this and it makes anything it touches sound like a HIWATT!

I used mine always on into a Mesa subway di+ and it really brought that to life for me.

also sounds great with guitar, I love it into my Mesa boogie blue angel amongst others.

Yes. Per Seth's suggestion I found an NOS Tesla that gave my Edison more headroom before breakup. The stock tube sounds pretty nice as is though.

I just got myself a second Edison from the new batch, and put an Amperex Bugle Boy EF86 from '62 in it. Sounds marvelous. I also picked up a Parabellum Drive V2 while I was at it. Something about these EF86 based pedals just do it for me.

I have a Parabellum Drive v2 on my board but I've wanted to try the Edison instead. Specifically I want to try slamming a Effectrode LA-1A with the Edison.

i just got a chance to try one of these out and i really like it ALOT.
a TB member wasn't fond of the original enclosure so he asked me to rehouse it in a more standard one with top jacks. I also added a stomp switch for the boost with an led indicator.
the smallest one possible for it ended up being a Hammond 1590B3.
