NIN gear auctions and your live basses

I almost pulled the trigger on a MIJ precision from NIN ebay gear auctions, mostly to keep around for sentimental value as theyre one of my favorite bands. The price got too high though. There were a lot of basses on the auctions and none of them suffered the stage casualties the guitars did (broken necks, missing electronics, etc.). I find that odd in a way...

I can't imagine you selling any of your gear so I was just wondering if you exclusively played your stuff on tour or if you sometimes were asked to use specific gear that wasn't yours for some songs.

Best regards and thanks for taking the time to read this,

Yeah, all my gear was my own on tour. I may be selling some of it at some point, but we shall see. There's plenty of instruments on sale that were studio oriented, thus didn't have the requisite damage that the live ones all seem to be anointed with.
