The fact that they only have three basses available in the 2015 model year isn't doing much for even us die-hard fans.
All that's on offer is a Thunderbird with last year's discontinued EB-4 electronics in it and a poorly shimmed Babicz bridge, a Les Paul Guitar with four short-scale bass strings on it and the never-ending "it's our only sub-$1000 offering" EB-0.
Basses are a tiny part of Gibson's business, but yeah, I didn't even bother discussing the current disappointing crop. I see there is a new model coming- a peculiarly named 4 string V Bass, which looks nothing like a Flying V. Suffering from the same wild overpricing by the looks as the 2015 TBird. We just shake our heads. At least we have the old ones.
