No more dreads!

I've had dreadlocks for 14 years. I felt it was time to say goodbye to my nappy companions. Here's my new style. I feel good about it. For those who personally know me, I'll still respond to Mikey Dreads. Like the new do, TB?

Noyce! Congrats. You can always grow 'em back. But I was pretty stoked when I finally got rid of my long hair. It wasn't even a "growing up" thing. That long hair was just ANNOYING.

Thanks! Was getting sick of sitting on them and yanking my head back or cabling up at shows and stepping on them. I gotta admit, there was a nice burst of positive energy when I chopped them!

Sorry. I'm more inclined to tastybasslines response. With the dreads, I either attracted weird overweight goth girls or hippy chicks with dirty feet and the unmistakeable scent of patchouli If that's your thing, do it up! Me.... not so much.

I've thought about growing dreads. I have curly hair and I desperately want to be able to get some sick metal hair windmilling action going on but can not with a white boy fro. unfortunately I get to about 2 months of my hair growing out, start looking like a slob and cut it.

Yeah, I expect you will get more attention from chicks and less unwanted attention from cops with your new 'do. Not saying that is right or fair, it's just the way it is.
