No real rockstars anymore...

All of which was a result from suffering severe stomach pain that went untreated, I had a good friend who had a similar disorder, his heart finally quit on him a couple years ago from all the Meds he used to stop the pain. It's no joke, I saw him many times keeled over in a corner crying, and wishing I could do something for him. If it was anything like I saw my best friend go through, I could imagine a similar outcome.

Nikki Six was technically 'dead' several times. Now he's sober and one hell of a businessman. I've met several other rock-stars who are sober and living great lives.

Half the music industry is in recovery, as is half of Hollywood. You just don't hear about the ones who DO recover, because of anonymity.

As far as drunken, drug-addled rockstars; YAWN.

It finally became acceptable to not be 'doing drugs' and be a star. My father had considerable talent, and chose to pursue another career. Back alley dealers (1950's) and that subculture were a huge turnoff for him. ;)

That guy who told you his beliefs is a total moron. There are more stars and less egomaniacs today. Maybe he should go off and o.d. somewhere. Only a loser drug addict would tie drug abuse and music together.
