Noble Amps Preamp

Regards the tubes in the noble? Have you guys change them and which is a good replacement ?
mine came with the NOS RCA tubes and it sounds great. Of course, I can't offer a meaningful comparison because I've only ever heard it with those tubes and have not changed them in my Noble. But I can say that the individually screened NOS RCA tubes that Jack offers as an option do sound very good.

I do have some JJ ECC82's around somewhere, perhaps I should do a swap and see if I can hear a meaningful difference in the Noble.

good luck

I didn't know he offered those, I woulda bought some!
I bought mine used, but the guy who was the original owner ordered it with the NOS tube option and I just got the benefit of his foresight
It was a very good deal for me actually as many used gear deals can be. I got a totally clean Noble DI, NOS tubes and the 18v adapter cable (which I use to power a Cali76CB) for less than the price of a new Noble ... and I got it in 4 days instead of whatever the lead time is for a new one. I was a happy gear shopper on this deal for sure.

Hey ya'll, I just pulled the trigger and snapped on of these bad boys up. I'm very excited for... 12 weeks from now.

I too intend to do a Tuner > Cali76CB > Noble board. Question for those who'eve done that combo: would that fit on a Pedaltrain Nano? Or would I have to go for the Nano+?
I doubt you will be disappointed. It has kind of become a way of life.

I think you should be fine with just the Nano. I’m pretty sure a mini tuner, cali76 and noble fits on a nano.

The Noble can handle up to a 900 mA total pedal power draw, yes? Is anyone using close to that? I'm having issues at just over 900 mA total. Not sure if it's the Noble or not.

I think I’m at around 700~ish. I have not encountered a problem yet. Just remember that if you are running an 18v pedal you have to double the mA that pedal needs using the voltage doubler. So a Cali76 would be approx 200mA draw if you’re running at 18v.

mine's on a Metro 20, with a Boss CEB-3 and the Cali767CB with a bit of extra room (both width and depth). If you don't think you will use any more pedals, I would personally choose the 18" Nano+ over the 14" Nano because I like just a bit of space for the patch cables. Even the Metro 20 is pretty dinky.

enjoy!

I'm nowhere close. Running a Cali76CB at 18v for a 103mA draw and a Boss CEB-3 which is around 18 mA. I'm sure the Noble power section is hardly breathing hard with my very modest pedal power needs.

good luck

Here’s an old Pedaltrain Mini if that’s of any help.

I had these three and used EBS flat cables
