Noble Amps Preamp

I bit the bullet and bought a SLO, so I’ve been a/bing the SLO and the Noble.

The SLO surprised me. I could get a pretty close tone with the SLO vs Noble. The only difference I could discern between the two is that there is a richness with the Noble that the SLO can not really provide; it’s a minuscule difference. I think the SLO is a great alternative and you get all that extra features. Not as good, but “close enough” to the Noble. Also the form factor and price of the SLO is definitely a huge plus.

I wish you live nearby so I could lend you the SLO. Great stuff man, your videos are well produced!
Thanks!

I tried the very first version of the SLO a few years ago. Definitely a great unit.
I'll probably hit them up at some point, but it's not a good time at the moment...:bag:

SLO???

I’m torn now as the RNDI sounded just as good as the Noble. I was surprised that the RNDI sounded just as good.

I thought they were really close but the Noble had some more bottomless lows IMO.

I don’t have the RNDI but I’ve been going back and forth with the Noble, SLO, Meatsmoke, Le Bass and EBS ValveDrive. Each are very good on their own but for clean I would choose the Noble. Meatsmoke is great too, for clean, but the SLO is so close to them both and wins on the form factor and features.

I just purchased a RNDI to use with my existing preamp and pedalboard. Excited to add it to the chain.
If you're anything like me, you will be buy the RNDI and two years later you'll get the Noble anyway

i purchased the SLO 2 times and tried and never really cared for it. I like the Nordstrand Starlifter better than it and anything else I’ve tried with the exception of Trickfish Minnow.

I've got a Noble coming and have a RNDI too. I'm looking forward to hearing both side by side.

looking forward to hearing your thoughts

I only have the REDDI and RNDI. I did purchased a noble profile for the kemper which ive been enjoying. I'll keep cruising the market for one. They do not pop up on the used market frequently.

I want to compare my kemper profile to the real thing. I profiled the REDDI and RNDI and its super close imo

on a side note if theres any kemper users in here I profiled my RNDI with a API312 clone pre. id be curious to hear thoughts on it since im new to profiling.

Has anyone here compared the RNDI to a Broughton Studio One set flat? I have the latter and used to have the former a few years ago. The Studio One is based on the Neve 1073.
Or compared the Studio One to the Noble?

I have compared the RNDI to the DI on my Heritage HA73 (Neve 1073 clone) I prefer the RNDI

What I do like though is combining them. RNDI to Heritage HA73 to interface

I made a kemper profile with the RNDI through my 1073 clone as was very happy with the resulting profile.
