Noble Amps Preamp

Has anyone here compared the RNDI to a Broughton Studio One set flat? I have the latter and used to have the former a few years ago. The Studio One is based on the Neve 1073.
Or compared the Studio One to the Noble?

I'm using the Noble and Studio One together right now and it sounds glorious.

They are different beasts on their own. The Noble just gives me that fat, warm and gooey tube texture that I want my bass signal running through to bring it to life. Kinda like the difference in running through a solid state amp vs. an SVT. (obvioulsy) It's a 3D kind of feel. The S1 on its own is very clean and precise, but brings its own feel of "fullness" to anything you're running through it. Just a little secret sauce, kind of polishes your tone so its more studio-like whether you're tracking in the studio or playing live. (I use it for tracking guitars as well with great results) Both of them together though makes me stand out in a mix no matter what style or genre I'm in. It's great.

The question I’ve always wondered was how the Noble compares to the Monique. I know the later has a gain stage early in the pre-amp signal that influences tone as well as a sensitivity dial- both of which can influence tone.

The Monique has a Baxandall/James tone stack that boosts or cuts similar to an Ampeg tone stack (SVT B15). The Noble is a Fender-ish stack that is boost only. They both sound similar to their respective designs. So... they sound different. Two flavors of great!

I’m not at all a big fan of the Monique. In my opinion, its voiced somewhat dark thus the Noble wins out for me in that regard. Plus the form factor of Jule’s is pretty cumbersome compared to competitors.

Like others have said, it’s two completely different pre amps.

Here’s a vid of @SamuelSandoval comparing both pre amp:

I had the same impression of Monique. I gigged it for several months. WAY too dark for me.

Wow. I didn't expect the Monique to be that dark when not using EQ

I've done this comparison. In the room, feeding the same preamp, the Monique edged it out. There was a degree of richness the Monique had that was just...magic. But, the form factor of the Noble would win, plus the price, if I had to choose.

Oddly enough, I didn't find the Monique dark...
