Noble Amps Preamp

I have a pair of 1964ears v6 stage and shure psm300 pack and transmitter . I love em but they are hard to get use to. I know what you mean about the feeling of the air pumping on the back of your legs, that would be hard to get use not having ...lol

It's just hard for me to want to spend + $1,000 for in ears. Probably because in my current situation IEMs aren't indispensable.

That is my thought also, I have never never used the send or returns options so kinda green on that issue. Maybe someone who has used the db751 and NOBLE for live gigs can chime in ? Thanks for the reply I did read further into this thread and more questions were answered, also I guess I could contact Mr. Roan . I'm thinking I will order one early next week and give it a run.

Hi @jnumme - Most of the db751 users that I've spoken with run the Noble on their pedalboard and then into the input of the db751, using the Noble EQ with the amp EQ set flat (and XLR out to FOH from Noble). With the th500 nearly everyone I talk with is running the Noble into the effect loop as @SamuelSandoval describes quite well. The effect return seems not as consistent on the db751 as on the th500, and often was noisy or the level was much too low.

I'm happy to discuss further over email.

Does anyone know when these will be available?

Well, I've decided to go all noble & power amp. Let my Demeter vtbp-M-800D head, which I ran the noble thru the return, go. I'm always plugging into the noble and only using the power section of the amp. Going to be using the Demeter Minnie 800 power amp. This combo is lightweight, simple and more power than I'll need. Will I miss the amp head? We'll see, but I doubt it. If I cut bass on the Noble, it's sounds pretty darn close to the Demeter Vtbp-M-800 D. But with bass boosted its a whole different world to my ears. Still loving this lil box!

Is it possible to have a 220V europe version ?

Hi @corsicangroove - Yes, the Noble preamp operates from 220V and there are quite a few users in Europe/Australia/UK/Korea, etc. The AC mains voltage is switchable inside the fuse drawer so you can change the voltage easily if you are traveling.

Not sure how I only just stumbled across this thread, but this preamp is exactly what I've been looking for. Brilliant design! Not sure how many of these are in Canada yet, but I'm placing an order soon!

I just got one of these and it's unstoppable. I literally haven't done a gig or session with it where the engineer hasn't made a comment about how good my tone was.

I know there's another guy in Toronto with one, so there are at least 2 here. If you'd like to try it out, send me a message and we can meet up. But I can tell you, even with the crazy exchange rate, it's more worth it than you could imagine.

That doesn't help at all ;) I'll be ordering one this spring. Feature set is perfect!

The Minnie 800 Demeter looks like the perfect partner for the Noble. The only thing better would be if Noble were to come out with a matching 1000 watt power amp. The big head that is available for pre-order is super cool but I prefer the mini modular form factor. Jule makes a 700 watt power amp now but it's larger, less power and the styling is not as good a fit with the Noble as the Demeter in my opinion.

Yeah, I love this size of the Demeter.

Those mini power amps do look cool. I run my Noble into a GK MB 800. It's a super powerful and small head. It can be used as a power amp by going in the effects return but I usually go in the input. This gives the FOH my signal from the Noble and I get that signal in my IEM's as well. I can then use the GK front-end to tune my cab to the room. Works like a charm and sounds great!
