Hmmm, I think I am pretty set with all my stuff...I have everything I need to make records that sound the way I like...but...
I would love to make records on a MCI-JH16 .... but it would also need to have a tech to keep it running!

Me too! 8 years, Alto and Tenor, but Bari was my favorite.
I have no desire to play the Alto in my basement, but I'd like to have a Baritone.
My first real guitar. A Kalamazoo made Epiphone Casino, a rare one from '68 or '69 with the 19th fret neck join (as opposed the the short neck with the join at the 16th fret they had before then). Cherry red, Epiphone Vibrola, nicke plated hardware. Shoulda kept instead of the Les Paul.
My wife is a keyboardist (we play in a trio together) and I keep trying to talk her into getting a Mellotron (one of the newer digital ones). For me, I'd love to get a drum kit but I currently have nowhere to put it.
I recorded on one of those! probably 3 decades ago. It was ancient and needed maintenance even back then.... but WHAT A SOUND. He pushed the levels and things stuck together like glue and had a compression that was magical, with a special tone in the highs that was wonderful
I don't mind not owning it, I just want to play it, once.
A nice Guild 12 string would be wonderful.

On a more practical note, I do want keys in the home studio. I have a 25 and 49 key controller. I bang out block chords in C and transpose.
I'd love to have a good weighted key digital piano (one with a super good grand and a super good rhodes) of at least 73 keys and one or two manual clonewheel organ with drawbars. I can do strings and horns and stuff on soft synths but those two I want dedicated turn it on and make its own sound keyboards.
But man keys are crazy expensive compared to guitars. I mean you can do any gig on a $500 guitar. And I know that there exist weighted key pianos for $300. But the land between $300 and $3000 is a baffling mystery. And I'm not sure the equivalent of a $500 guitar exists in keyboards.

I just solved that problem with this Roland Juno DS88.
